This has more sodium than most soy sauces (160 mg/0.5 tsp = 960 mg/tbsp). How is this a healthier choice over soy sauce?

In terms of sodium, it's not a healthier choice than low-sodium soy sauce. But it is made from non-Gmo soybeans, is gluten-free and contains no preservatives and no alcohol, so you can benefit from using it if you have dietary issues such as Celiac disease. You can use less of it than you would regular soy sauce and still get a good soy sauce flavor. Also, don't add additional salt in your recipe and you should be fine.

Yes, Braggs is gluten free and is absolutely a delicious replacesment for Soy Sauce....I use it all the time and I would recommend it to anyone! Much healthier choice!

This is made from soy. how is it different from soy sauce? does regular soy sauce have any of these properties or is it unique to bragg's alone?

Bragg's is unfermented unlike other soy sauces, therefore it may taste differently than what most are used to. We love it and have used it for a couple decades at least!
