Still amazed! If you have mcs, it's a must have product!
This product has me purely amazed! As someone who has mcs, and finds it frustrating to have to wash new clothes numerous times to get the chemicals out, or used ones even MORE because of the highly scented detergents in them, this product is truly a MIRACLE product! I thought the green wash ball was good, but this blows that, and anything else I've ever tried out of the water! If you don't have mcs, you might not understand the lengths we go to, to try to get our clothes rid of these toxins.Imagine having to wash new clothing at least 5x's or more. Even soaking them beforehand in vinegar, borax, or other products for 24 hours or more first. Sometimes I can never get the smells out, and I've wasted all that time and money for nothing.Well, NO MORE!The first item I put in, was my pup's dog bed that he threw up on. I didn't even take the pillow case off of it, I just threw the whole thing in the wash. Put the magnets on each side of the washing machine basin, and washed in hot water. No stain remover or anything else, as I wanted to see what these magnets could do. It came out CLEAN, no stain, no doggie smell, nothing. Just clean and fresh smell. The second wash I did was of 2 brand new bras that I'd had sitting around for awhile cause I ran out of my natural detergent, and stopped using the green wash ball because it was making holes in my clothes. I put the bras in a mesh bag, turned the water to cold, and extra low. Because the water was on extra low, I put the magnets on the very bottom of the washing machine basin. One on each side of the agitator. I was nervous......I just knew I was going to have to wash those bras at least a few times. Boy was I wrong!!! They came out smelling like it does just after it rains! CLEAN! That is it! I couldn't believe it. I can't believe it. I'm still in pure amazement! I know this must sound crazy, but if you don't have mcs maybe it's hard to understand how one can get so excited over something so simple..........I just can't begin to describe how miraculous this is! lol Who gets excited to wash clothes??? I do now! I can't wait to go to the thrift store, and buy something to throw in there, cause they always reek of scented detergents so bad, that sometimes I wash them 10 or more times, and still don't get the detergent smells out. That's A LOT of wasted water, electricity, and time, not to mention expensive natural products I use to try to eliminate the smells.Oh, and the magnets stayed right where I put them, even with the dog bed/pillow in the wash. I was sure they were going to be stuck together or on the bottom or something. We do have a very old machine......at least 20 years old. I know the newer models sometimes don't have metal basins anymore. It's not an issue if they do come off though, or you can put them inside a sock before the wash starts. It doesn't matter if they stick together. One other thing that is great is, you don't even have to do a rinse cycle anymore unless you just feel an item needs more agitation or something. There is NO detergent (unless you add some, but I don't know why you would do that as it defeats the whole purpose of the product) to rinse off. With not having to do a rinse cycle, that will save even MORE $$$. Less water, less electricity, and less time! Wash loads will get done in half the time now. I'm just so stoked over this product, I am actually excited about it!It's a must have item for every home, but especially those with chemical sensitivities. So glad I finally had enough saved in my Amazon account to purchase it, and try it out. :) I can't recommend it highly enough, truly.*UPDATE*Still loving this product. I can't say enough good things about it.*UPDATE 3/2/16* Please see comment in the comment section below for the complete update. In short, still using this, still loving it, but there have been a few items it did not work on. I think the odor is literally in the threads used to make it, and the odor won't go away no matter what I've tried.*This product was purchased at full price for my own use.

AWESOME! and passed the cat-pee test with flying colors....
OK I want to be candid here. I went into this purchase a complete skeptic. No one I know has purchased these and vouched for them. Reviews on Amazon were good, the only ones that had anything bad to say was the magnets slip around during the cycle. I didn't consider that a big deal when I look at the bigger picture of saving pretty much $10 a week on detergent for life....that's $520 a year....First off, let me tell everyone: I do cat rescue. In a LARGE way. This means it is not all cute cats and kittens all fluffy on a pillow, ready for adoption. This is the nitty gritty, crawl in the dirt to catch the kittens in the bushes, trap feral cats, care for hospice cats, the works. My car is a billboard for rescue magnets :)So, of course the worst of my laundry odors is cat pee. My husband has even asked if we want to discuss separate laundry machines for cats and "people" in the house! In any case, I typically do 6-8 loads of "people" laundry per week, and double that, sometimes triple, of cat laundry. And it can be NASTY. In some rare cases, I toss out the item (towel, blanket, pillow, etc) because it is just too far gone to even think about putting in the washer.I am also environmentally "aware" and do my best to pick up trash, etc., whenever I can...and since I am in some wooded areas caring for feral cats, I end up with a pretty good haul of trash or recycling sometimes. So anything that can help us stop polluting the earth is an easy decision for me...especially when all you have to do is stick a couple of magnets in your washer....and no longer worry about what your detergent is doing to the drain field, or adding one more huge jug to the recycling bin every week. So, I stuck these magnets in the washer. I thought, I'll call their bluff on the first load. I put in some cat laundry that was literally awful, at least 3 towels were soaked with cat urine. When it finished spinning, I was right there pulling out the towels and sticking my nose into them....NO SMELL....a "clean" smell - but not perfume....I was astonished and ended up sniffing almost every towel in that load....THEN I thought, hmm, here's the real test, I have recently been working on a cat hoarder house .... the lady would buy things and open the carton (case in point, from Animal Rescue Site, some footies with pawprints) and never use the item, so the cats would go in the box and pee on everything.... (note: cats did not have proper litterpans in this home). These items in the box were brand new, and the urine had been on them since appx December (so 4-5 months back). I thought, this will be the acid test for these magnets. Well, there was one sock on top which got the brunt of the stain and the smell. That stain was a dark orange color it had been dried on there so long. The stain came out. All the socks had no stains now... (they were all packaged together, stacked).... however the top one still had a faint odor. I re-washed it and it came out odor-free. Now THAT is a test to pass for sure....(note to everyone: anything I can clean and get back to the lady, I am doing it - so these socks are going back to her house after the major cleanup is done). So, I'm sold on these magnets. My TIDE is going back to the store, luckily I still have the receipt :)

Honest review
We received these as a gift from someone who swears by them and here’s our impressions:Pros:-feel of high quality and have gone through numerous wash cycles and held up no problem. It sounds strange to say magnets are of high quality but these do feel very nice-detailed and helpful instructions that go through usage and products that can be used with them, they also have specific instructions for front loading machines which is important as some people are reporting damage to front loadersCons:-price is insane. These are magnets and no way should cost $70, truly insane.-do they work? Here’s the issue. Many people are reporting using small amounts of detergent with these magnets (as the directions say you can) and in reality the amount of detergent recommended on the bottle is significantly more than is needed and ends up being bad for your clothes, skin, and washing machine. A rule of thumb is to use at most half of what is recommended for your load size, especially if it’s a He detergent. So ultimately you are better off using the appropriate amount of detergent for your load (much less than the bottle recommends) and you will save money in the long run as opposed to using these which are unlikely to be doing much. Just my two cents.
