bad unit was replaced by customer service
verified with a different splitter that everything else in the system works. Replaced the splitter and everything else was fine. This splitter says that it's sending signal even when it is not. It's way overpriced for how low the features are. Most powered splitters light up the outputs when it is actually sending the signal. These outputs light up if just the hdmi cord is plugged in.after they refunded for the broken unit, I purchased another

Creates message of new equipment found when the directv is turned on.
The product creates this message on the TVs when the directv box is turned on. Other than that its working with several 20’-40’ HDMI cables.

It works perfectly
The quality is good, and it can be played on the TV of my church normally. The previous product had malfunctions, often failed to display, and lost video signals. This product can perfectly support different TVs and display multiple TVs together.

Works As Advertised
Great product!. Solved problem I had with earlier gen 1/8 splitters I ordered not passing multi-channel digital audio. Buying 2 more of these splitters to replace my older ones.

Breaks CEC control of receiver by TV.
At first I thought it was working quite well. But now I see that both TVs can no longer control their attached Onkyo receivers via CEC. That does not make any sense at all. The splitter is attached to the input of the Onkyo receivers, not between the Onkyo and the TV.Even when watching something on a different input from the splitter, the TV is not able to control the Onkyo. I have to disconnect the splitter input to get things working again.This is only a problem with the 1x8 2.0 splitter. The 1x4 splitters work ok.

Dysfunctional
