This product is, first of all, to my knowledge quite unique. It`s basically artistic profiles in miniature sizes.First the selection of players. It is quite well chosen, although some players might be added, perhaps with more cards if it makes sense. From older players at least Chigorin, Marshall and Tartakower are missing. Naturally the choices are limited. I would have personally liked to also have Keres, Ivanchuk and perhaps Polgar - after all there are no female players included, though from historical perspective that is not really a huge deal. All the world champions are there as well as many other notable and legendary top players mostly from the 20th century, which is reasonable.The drawings (caricatures) are simply awesome. The artist has clearly done his research and succeeded in catching some typical expressions of the great characters just as we know them. Memorable and joy to browse through!Some of my favorites are Tal, Botvinnik and Karpov. Now I also know how Maróczy looks like!The details on the cards are also well chosen and interesting. One can actually learn some details of the players (for instance at which age they first became world number 1, how many games they played or how many moves their shortest game lasted!). While this kind of information could be searched, it never came in such a handy form.I remember having a similar game card deck of different kinds of cars when I was a kid that I played with, so I figure this might also work nicely as a game with children.Overall, nice little fun and nostalgic collectable for chess fans and history buffs alike.
