Electric Toothbrush Charger for Oral-B Series, USB Cable

Worked great when on travel and the original plug doesn't work in countries with other voltages. May not show it's charging, but it does.

I've been thinking about ordering this for a while to take when I travel offroad and everything runs on 12v or USB. I'm travelling to Europe in a few weeks and want to bring my toothbrush so I finally pulled the trigger. It works great and will make traveling with the toothbrush much easier. No need for an inverter or plug adapter. The price was certainly right too.

Bought for versatility when traveling. Can charge with computer or easy USB wall plugs. HOWEVER after only two (2) trips the unit failed and rendered our electric toothbrush useless. We are midway through a trip through Eastern Europe and returned to hand held toothbrushes. Our electric toothbrush is effectively nothing more than a paperweight. Very disappointing as design and intent was very exciting but operations is a complete failure.

I occasionally travel for a few weeks to countries with 220v power, and the charger that came with my toothbrush was single voltage. I tried a different brand and it was DOA. I got a replacement immediately--but that, too, was DOA. I bought this one, and it worked perfectly, and I can charge my toothbrush with any USB port. *Maybe* it's *slightly* slower to charge than the standard charger that came with my toothbrush, but it's not a huge difference. I'm happy.

Works great just like it should! I use it in my car while traveling to ensure the toothbrush is charged 100%.

I love traveling so I looked for a way to charge my electric toothbrush in countries with foreign power wall outlets. I came across this USB toothbrush charger on Amazon. Brilliant idea! Since I carry a battery anyway for my smartphone I might as well use it to charge up my electric toothbrush thru this USB charger. I'm glad I had it with me when I traveled to countries in eastern Europe and the Caucasus. This charger really came in handy. Recommended.

I had the charger for a few months. Charges a little slow but 5W is about half the wattage of a brand charger. Sometimes, it doesn't even fully charge over a night sleep. But after a few months, it just stopped working. Luckily, I kept my original charger around just in case. But it's a real shame.TL;DR: Great concept of a product but it failed too quickly.

As others have reported, after using this charger, the phone app and the light on the brush claim that the brush has no charge...but the brush actually seems to be fully charged. The brush actually is behaving as if it is fully charged, even after a two week trip that would normally drain the brush to zero.I have to guess that for certain brushes, the charger does not communicate its status to the brush like the original charger, yet the charger works fine. I just hope the brush charging system works properly when I return home to the regular charger.Overall it is doing the job properly, and is working well for my international trip. I do wish the brush would show as fully charged, but it is a minor hassle, not a showstopper.UPDATE: After returning home, I used the standard charger, and the brush needed a full charge, but after the full charge, the battery gauge worked properly again. I do wish OralB would produce a product like this that maintains the battery gauge properly, or they would share whatever proprietary info is needed for the third parties to do it. Given this one minor limitation, though, I still thoroughly recommend this product.
