I've bought several different tablets that did not work at all. This really works.

Put in pond and after a day can see the fish better.

I have a 450 gallon water-fall pond without fish or plants. It's so small that it doesn't have a skimmer or use any form of filtration other than the negative-edge water drop-off at the end of the least stream bed, into an underground reservoir. The rock surface over the reservoir becomes the filter. I use two stacked, thick gray matala filter pads before the water goes underground however this mechanical filtration has very little biological effect.I use a copper-based algicide to keep algae under control and it works well, but I'm always looking for supplements to aid algae control for the hottest months of the year, when algae can come on strongest.Barley straw (including the extract) breaks down to eventually form an ongoing lose dose of hydrogen peroxide (though this isn't listed on the label). What the bottle doesn't mention is that the breakdown process - how the product works - requires bacteria. Any water feature using a copper-based algicide essentially doesn't have this bacteria because copper harms them as well, or so I've read (though I'm not alleging that copper is a sanitizer).This makes the purchase worthless at this time since using the product probably wouldn't render an honest result for evaluation. At this time, until I move away from copper-based algicide, the best I can do is to give it a neutral evaluation.The label should provide more information to the consumer so they can make an educated purchase based on their specific situation, rather than a sporadic choice that brings dollars to the company.Water features can be very complicated to maintain and it only gets worse with fish and plants.

Did exactly as it said my fish pond is clear.

My pond was cloudy in the spring. I put this in and it was clear overnight. Also safe for my fish.

I love this stuff. it works in 48 hours or less and maintains a clear beautiful pond for my few fishes. Excellent product!

Did not work quite as expected but did help to lower the algae.
