Will i be able to remove the threaded insert?

Not without damaging the knob. The knob is molded onto the insert from the factory. My advice would be to either re-thread your shifter to match the insert threading OR find the appropriate adaptor at your local hardware store or Lowe's. Hope this helps :)

This knob only fits 3/8-16 threads. There are no thread adapters with this shifter knob. It does include a jam nut but you need to make sure you have a 3/8-16 UNC threaded stick before ordering.
