SpeakerCraft AIM8 Five In-Ceiling Pivoting Speaker

Amazing speakers! Didn't expect this kind of sound from the ceiling. I moved from Klipsch dual 8" towers to these and thought it would be a downgrade (wife wanted speakers off the floor in our new house). These sound much better. Bass is incredible! I have a subwoofer but you could almost get away without one with these. Which is hard to believe. I'm not saying Klipsch are high grade speakers but they are decent and these are better. The install was not the easiest but it had nothing to do with the speakers. Once the hole is in place it was very simple. I would suggest covers for the back of the speakers to keep out the attic insulation and dust. I thought they were covered in the back by the large red backing you see in the pics, but there are open slots in it. Get the covers here on Amazon or make your own.

These are really good speakers. We made our Family Room into a Theater. We have high ceilings. Our room is an open concept plan so we're missing two walls. By being able to pivot the speakers we have them pointed directly at the couch. Great sound. These were recommend by the Geek Squad .

I'm no aficionado, but it sounds great and easy to install. My ceiling was pre-wired; so it was just plug and play.

I thought having a review from someone who has enjoyed these speakers for ten years would be helpful.Excellent clarity and bass response. And they have remained solid performers exposed to ridiculous Houston summers in my non-insulated attic!
