Very Nice Light
We previously had the bluish LED bulbs in our bedroom lamps, and I really disliked the light they gave off. So after reading about these, I thought I'd give them a try. I love them! The light is much warmer and more pleasant. An interior designer friend of mine used to say "lighting is everything!" I tend to agree with him. The bedroom looks much more cozy and inviting now. Glad I found these bulbs!

Light quality is similar to an incandescent light bulb, but minus 1 star for occasional flickering
I stocked up on incandescent light bulbs about 10 years ago when they were still readily available, because the energy efficient lighting options at that time all had deficiencies that I didn't want to deal with. (CFL bulbs contain mercury, and many of them give off a harsh, cool light. And LED bulbs were still in their infancy at the time.)I have kept an open mind about switching to LED light bulbs, but until recently I had not found an LED bulb whose light quality I was satisfied with. I want something with essentially the same light quality as an incandescent bulb. Then a few months ago, I tried these GE Relax LED bulbs, and they come very close to what I have been looking for. The color and quality of the light are designed to mimic an incandescent light bulb, and they do a very good job. I think it would be hard to tell the difference between the light from one of these bulbs and the light from an incandescent bulb. Also, the bulbs are made of glass and radiate light in all directions, like a real incandescent bulb. And yet these LED bulbs use less than one-sixth the energy of a 60-watt incandescent bulb, for approximately the same light output.I was so happy with my first package of these GE Relax LED bulbs that I bought more of them, and installed them throughout more than half of my house. For several months, I was very satisfied with these bulbs. But then one day recently, I discovered that they have a flaw which I wasn't aware of.A few days ago, I noticed that one of my GE Relax LED bulbs was flickering (a slow flicker, changing from a bit dimmer to a bit brighter maybe once per second or so). I checked the other GE Relax LED bulbs in my house, and ALL of them were flickering the same way, though they had never flickered before that. (None of my remaining incandescent bulbs were flickering.) I replaced a few of the LED bulbs immediately with incandescent bulbs, because the flicker was annoying (again, the incandescents did not flicker). Then the next day, the remaining LED bulbs stopped flickering. I can only guess that something was slightly off with our electricity (the voltage?) on that particular day. But this leaves me wondering how often this will happen, and whether I can really rely on these bulbs to work well day after day. (Note: None of the GE Relax LED bulbs in my house are on dimmer switches, so that could not be the cause of the flickering.)

Nice
Perfect bulbs for my dimmable lamps. Nice soft lighting but they still are bright on the highest setting.

They are LIGHT BULBS
What can I say? They are LIGHT BULBS for petes sake.Well , they are easily installed with a simple clockwise twist of the wrist. They are an excellent fit, with a neck perfectly sized to nestle snugly in an inexpensive overhead fixture. They shine brightly when the switch is on, go dark immediately after the switch is flipped to off. As a bonus, they've been installed in a fixture with a dimmer so we can marvel at an infinite number of brightnessess at our leisure. They are white, as ordered. None of them were broken in transit, and remain unbroken in spite of being installed by a 25 year old woman on a slightly rocky stool.I cannot attest to their liifespan. Perhaps I will never be able to verify that quality as I am already in my 70 and that light is on very few hours in the day.Otherwise than these observations, all I can add is for petes sake they are JUST LIGHT BULBS.
