Versatile, Robust Headset
This headset has served me well over the past almost two years. While it doesn't come with a lot of bells and whistles, it excels at what it's meant to do. Plugging it into the audio jack is seamless, as is taking it out to turn on bluetooth mode, and it comes with a fairly decent battery life. The audio quality is fairly good, albeit it does not sport the punching bass that most cheap headsets boast. I can listen to all sorts of music, from classical romantic piano to dubstep, without feeling like I'm missing out on something. It is also excellent for gaming (in the wired mode). The external microphone (accessible only in wired mode) captures my voice quite well, although it is unfortunately a little on the silent side. The internal microphone (accessible only in bluetooth mode) is quite nice, although a lot of quality is lost when the headset is both transmitting and receiving data (i.e. in calls). It has a decent amount of noise cancelling, but nothing too great. I would consider it acceptable. The detachable microphone is a more-than-welcome touch, as I need not walk around in public looking like a lunatic. The ear caps have degraded a little bit and are now easier to take off, but buying replacements are not particularly expensive. After two years of very frequent usage, this is also expected. My major gripes with this product is the lack of a USB Type-C charging port (it uses micro-USB instead), and difficulty between changing bluetooth devices. However, I almost exclusively use it with one device anyway so this is not so much of a problem for me. Overall, I would highly recommend this headset for the price point and its functionality.

'Michael Bay Movie' audio performance!
*I need to update this review to provide some perspective. I recently purchased the Audeze Mobius to see what all the fuss was about, and compare to the Cloud Mix. Well, it was very close, but where I preferred the Cloud Mix is a punchier bass and a more fun sound in general. Think 'Michael Bay movie' which is probably the best way to describe the Cloud Mix audio. It's incredible that these 40mm drivers can produce such volume and go toe-to-toe with the 100mm drivers found inside the Mobius. The main difference being the Audeze offer 3D surround tech, which was insufficient to dissuade me from sticking to the Cloud Mix. It helps they are half the price of course, but they truly are astounding when I consider other premium headsets I have used. Being a hybrid headset you might assume 'jack of all trades, master of none'. You would be very mistaken to assume that, the audio performance in particular is stellar, and perfectly suited for gaming, movies and music. There is no obvious weakness. I just need to gush about the Hyper X Cloud Mix because it feels like a long time coming: why didn't I try Hyper X sooner? Onto the specifics, comfort and build is excellent across the board. Extremely lightweight (265g with mic attached) and I can't say I agree with the criticisms over clamping force being excessive. With plush ear cushions, I can't see how even larger heads would have any issues. Now onto the audio, which is where this headset truly shines. Whether via Bluetooth - which is almost indistinguishable from being hard wired - or connected to your controller the audio is outstanding. The bass performance just puts a smile on your face, it's a really fun sound, with no distortion or background hiss (take note Steelseries!). The audio is very robust and rock solid. And man does it get loud, even via Bluetooth, though PS4 is the exception. This is an issue with all headsets on PS4 and remains an annoyance. On Xbox, fill your boots with the highest volumes and added immersion that entails. Hyper X have 'hyped up' (sorry) the dual chamber feature which separates the lows and highs. It's certainly no gimmick, there is notably far more separation than I'm used to, with no muddy sounds caused by conflicting audio. I use the Bluetooth through my phone and TV - so I can still play video games and watch movies wirelessly. As I said, there is no notable degradation in sound. I use wired when I want to use Dolby Atmos on Xbox, or if I need to chat. But it functions very well as a wireless headset for the most part. I could go on and on about how great this headset is, but I genuinely must get back to using it. If you haven't tried Hyper X before, prepare to be surprised. If you have, chances are you don't need to read this review!

Great Pair of Headphones
I've owned a pair of these headphones for arround 5 years now and thought I should finally write a review. They've been incredibly durable surviving many drops over the 5 years and even having a couch dropped on them (there was some pretty bad cosmetic damage but still as functional as the day I bought them). The earpads wore out after a year and HyperX no longer sell replacements which sucks so you'll have to go aftermarket for replacements and after about 2 years the headbands fake leather started peeling which was annoying but didn't bother me too much. The sound quality is really good for a gaming headset especially at this price and when wired the microphone quality isn't too bad, however, when in Bluetooth mode the microphone is atrocious. The ability to use both Bluetooth and wired mode is a game changer, the flexibility this offers is something I absolutely love about these headphones. An unfortunate note however is that you can't buy replacement aux cords from hyperX and the aux into the headset is set back and narrow making it hard to use different aux cables. These headphones are comfortable and not too heavy with good adjustability for the best fit, I've found the earcups are a good size to fit my ears with all my earrings in so should also be good for folks with bigger ears.

Amazing Gaming headphones!
These headphones are amazing for gaming and general music listening. Clear sounds that let you get a better sense of the game environment and Crystal clear discord calls. The main reason I got these over it’s wired counterpart was for the wireless experience. At first I was disappointed as the sound came through static and muffled (which I knew weren’t the headphones themselves) and came across the problem. In the sound settings for the headphones, it comes under two options: 1 being “HyperX audio Mixed” which is the one you want for the clear sound and 2 “HyperX Audio BG” which is the one you don’t want. I’m not too sure why it comes under these two options but I think it’s the settings for voice output to the pc as well as Audio input to the headphones. Fixing this issue, the headphones became a dream to use, easy to connect, plenty of battery life for lasting days without needing a charge and clear Bluetooth audio with a low latency. Would definitely recommend maybe in a sale as that is how I got these. Otherwise the price gap between these and the wired Cloud headphones is hard to justify.

Perfect for at home and on the go!
I decided to buy these headphones after my Cloud II finally were done after 3 years. I was a little worried about buying them because there’s a huge price difference! However, I’m so glad I did. I’m someone who uses headphones for gaming and for when I’m on the go. They’re really comfortable and sound lovely, both Bluetooth and wired. The only slight let down is the sound leakage so I do get a little worried when I’m on the train but most of the time it’s loud in public anyway and it’s not that significant. But they’re definitely perfect for gaming, comfortable and awesome sound! I love the removable microphone feature because it means I can happily use them in public and it has great sound quality. I don’t think there’s a massive jump in quality from Cloud II but there is a noticeable difference. But I do love the Bluetooth and the sleek design. These are definitely worth it -I’m really happy with my purchase!

Reliable above all
I first bought these headphones in September 2020, finally getting another pair in November 2024 after the padding has finally been worn too far for me to put up with. These headphones went with me to multiple countries, cities and have endured being dropped countless times, multiple drinks spilt on them and the toils of my life for the past 4 years. They kept on trucking never having an issue with the excellent audio quality whether it be plugged in or wireless. I did consider purchasing a new pair however, the way these fit my head and go over all of my ear rather than sitting on top was not worth risking a new brand or make for. I originally bought these for gaming on a pc while they were fantastic, I ended up using them remotely much more. Can’t wait for my new pair to arrive!

HyperX Cloud Mix - Microphone Volume too quiet
The headphones are great, really comfy and the sound quality is top notch but the microphone really lets the headset down. The microphone volume is far too quiet! Hardly anyone can hear me speak, even with the input volume cranked up to max on both windows and discord it still sounds like someone whispering. It seems I'm not the only one with issues regarding the microphone volume level (it appears its across all of the HyperX headsets), it would be nice if they had some sort of control over the input levels on the device itself. I'm not condoning it but it can be improved by using 3rd party software but with the price tag you would have thought this would already be addressed.

Great quality. But connection issues
I've updated this review. A good product. But.. Like many had an issue with connection to Bluetooth. No joy from Amazon support fixing it but they did offer a new 4.0 dongle. No joy from the Bluetooth suppliers website either. What we had to do was keep the headphone power button in for 5 seconds longer and it flashes red AND blue. You can then pair with your device. Didn't need that extra 5 sec step with a phone, but we did with the PC. A further problem, and we got them for wireless Minecraft, that has materialised: When you open YouTube in a browser, and then open a seperate game, YouTube stops playing and no audio is played. So after fiddle of connecting, and the YouTube issue, you expect better and a more seamless operation from a brand the quality of HyperX and at £100. No such issues using the wired connection though.

Great quality for the price
Done quite a bit of market research trying to find the balance between price and quality, I believe this product hit the nail on its head on that front. I'm not an audio freak so the quality is great, noise cancellation on a really noisy environment could be better but again, for the price I wouldn't expect much more. Battery life is great, lasts many hours and the BT pairing is very easy to work out.

One pair to rule them all.
This is my first set of wireless headphones, and I bought them with some trepidation. The optional wire helped me hedge my bets. The advertised frequency response was the broadest of any headset I looked at. I'm coming from a pair of HyperX Cloud II that lasted a solid three years. I've only had them for a few days, but they feel like good quality. My previous experience with HyperX headphones has been good. $200 is pretty steep, but I bought them to use for everything: gaming, music, listening to podcasts, phone and video calls, and traveling. Pros: * Excellent sound * Feels like good quality * Light for this quality and features * Easy controls * Easy Bluetooth setup * Good wireless range * Good battery life * Built in microphone * Detachable boom microphone * Detachable wire * Not compact, but can be stripped down for travel * Good for everything * Comfortable to wear for hours * USB charging Cons: * $200 price * No Bluetooth disconnect on the headphones Opinion * More closed than I'd like * A little tight * USB-C charging would be preferred Sound quality is extremely important to me, and the sound is excellent. Better than my previous HyperX Cloud II. Very crisp. Good bass. As advertised, the frequency response is very wide. While they're more closed than I'd like, I can pick up on more nuance. The closed sound also blocks outside noise making it easier to listen while doing chores or in noisy environments. I find them a little tight on my head, but they're quite comfortable for wearing all day. They sit well on the head and around the neck. Padding is good. While they're by no means light, for their quality and feature set they're light. The optional wire is an attractive feature. Nearly every pair of headphones I've ever had has failed at the headphone jack, being able to replace the wire should increase the life of the headphones. My gaming PC does not have Bluetooth, so I can use the wire and not worry about delay while playing games. It comes with both a 3.5" headphone jack, and a splitter for PCs. Bluetooth wireless was easy to setup on my Android phone and Macbook. The wireless freedom has been excellent, I can set music or podcasts going on my phone and forget about it. No wires to get in the way. Good range means I can go to adjacent rooms and still listen. There's a handful of controls on the headphones: volume, power, and a do-everything button. The volume and do-everything buttons are decently textured and easy to find by touch. The power button is recessed to avoid accidentally pushing it, but easy to use when you intend to. The do-everything button is straightforward. It can pause and unpause, skip to the previous or next track, answer or hangup on calls, and bring up a voice assistant. My only complaint is there's no way to disconnect from a device on the headphones, I must do it from the device; this makes switching between a phone and a computer a little more involved. Charging is easy, micro-USB. USB-C would be a nice feature, everything else I have is moving to USB-C. Battery life has been excellent so far, I use them all day with no concerns. While they're by no means compact, they can be stripped down for traveling by removing the wire and boom mic. The built in microphone works fine while traveling. USB charging and long battery life means it needs no special cables. It comes with a nice bag to protect them. There's a very small LED to show status. Blue for normal. Red for charging. It blinks occasionally. In normal light this is fine, but I woke up one night to find my bedroom crazily lit by blue flashes wondering if the police were outside. It was the status LED. You might want to put some tape over it.

Headsetsuche beendet!
Eine angenehme Stimme sagt dann sowas in Richtung "Power on. Battery-level is xxx procent. Was soll ich sagen?
