MonopriceCat6 Punch Down Keystone Jack - Blue

Great Product if You need A Single Keystone Jack!
First Impression: The packaging was a plastic bag, no frills which I like because it is minimal packaging and fuss (great for the environment). You get the keystone jack, the two jack covers to cover the wires, and a zip-tie, which at first is difficult to understand why. Upon closer inspection of the open end, you see that there are holes to secure the cable to the back of the jack with the said zip-tie.I admit, I looked at the color coding on the side and got confused, but that was my fault. I looked at an online wiring guide and quickly figured out the colors....I was such a dolt! It gives you both 568A and 568B color codes (Hint: Use 568B in as it is more robust). I like the great attention to detail with the white jack covers AND the small zip-tie to snugly secure the jack to the end of the ethernet cable. I deducted one star because for the price, it would have been prudent to include a plastic punch down tool (i.e. like the Leviton brand). Fit well in a Leviton Decora plate. If I need a single black keystone in the future, I would buy again..... actually, Leviton could learn a thing or two from this design, esp the jack wire covers and ability to anchor to the end of the ethernet cable using a zip tie.

They don't seem to fix Leviton face plates
I bought two of these for a short run through the wall/floor. They look well made, pretty much standard. Also a good price point. I had an old and a new Leviton face plate. The connector would not fit either plate. I ended up returning these and went to Lowes to get what they had on hand. Twice the price but they fit. The problem with Leviton was mentioned in other reviews. I guess I have confirmed the issue.

Good price for blue, Thanks BHill enterprises
I bought this Blue Cat6 Jack to go along with black, blue and yellow ones to handle a new outlet/location for my modem and router. It's made by MP and is offered by several merchants, but I happened upon BHill enterprises and their 10% off for two or more deal. So I ordered the 4 colors of Cat 6 Jacks, an F-Pin (coax) keystone module and a 6 port wallplate; all of which came to $10.91 after discount and included free shipping. The order came in 5 days from the date of order and installation went as you'd expect. I would definitely order items like these from BHill Enterprises again and trust MP (I wonder what MP stands for) to make a good Cat6 Jack that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Well done!

Big hands will find this impossible to connect
Method of tool less install was terrible. Go for the standard punch down, cable matters brand is excellent

Don't try to strip back the braided style Cat5/6 cabling
Does what it is intended to do but make sure you give yourself plenty of slack from within the wall and simply punch down the correct color coded wires into the jack. Do not bother trying to strip back the jacketing on any of the braided pairs. Your braided wire, even when twisted back into a tight wire, will not be wide enough to stay pinched in the jack. I used the cheaper model blue Datashark punch down tool, nothing fancy, to accomplish this.

WILL NOT FIT IN A STANDARD KEYSTONE PANEL
Don’t buy those, nothing about them is good.First, the width of the jacks isn’t standard. You won’t be able to put them side by side in a normal keystone patch panel. I had to skip slots (Which looks bad and makes cable management a nightmare) to make it work.Second, the method of termination is total BS. I cut myself several times while using my punch down tool on those jacks. Most quality jacks have the terminals at the back, and not at the bottom.Lastly, the identification for the wiring diagram is just a crappy sticker which is hard to read and that comes off too easily.Don’t buy those jacks. They are overpriced and will make you work harder.

Only one caution to buyers
These were delivered fine, and are great, only issue though is that they do not come with the tool required to punch down the wires. That would be my only gripe. Luckily for me I had bought other brands from home Depot and they include the tool - but if I was buying them from here with out having previously bought any other ones - you may find yourself in a crumby predicament once they arrive without that specialized tool.
