This is relatively well made decorative globe.I have other globe that are 13" in diameter; this is relatively small globe, and as suchit has its pluses and minus. Know what you are getting before ordering. To me thiswas good purchase because of the following qualities.1) It is lighted globe and thus can be used as short term night-light that can be placed on side table.2) The size is perfect for decorative use.3) The globe is relatively sturdy for the price.4) The globe is accurate up to 2018, mostly, on the changes that has been recently made( i.e. Recent annexation by Russia is not shown)Now, some down sides. Please note that you should not purchase thisglobe for the accuracy and informative purpose. Some things thatyou should know.1) Globe due to its size cannot be exhaustive in details. For example, the globe does not show all state capitals, i.e. Kansas, Idaho, Indiana, Missouri, etc. does not show any cities. And again, some features are not updated (very few).2) The night light is not bright to use in mid-day. It is good enough in lower light or evening.3) The The finish on the globe surface is semi-gloss, and thus as shown in the picture the reflectivity of surface gets in the way of the view.4) As with many globes the northern hemisphere does not fully match the southern hemisphere. (The longitudinal lines does not fully line up ... i.e. up to 1/16 off.)Overall, if you are getting this as a decorative item, this is definitely 5 stars, but as semi-realglobe use and as decorative item, it should be 4 stars. If you purchase this item as decorativeunit, it is almost perfect (I wish there was external power connection, instead of strictlyusing the battery).It is recommended, especially as decorative item.

To me, the description is confusing: making it seem like the "Night Time" view globe will light up as a regular globe (without constellations) in the daytime and will light up with constellations at night time. The "Night Time" view globe can be easily seen as a regular globe in the daytime and always lights up with constellation views while the light is switched ON. 🌈 OverallGreat product, excellent service and loved by my friends and family who have viewed my globe. This globe came in less than 48 hours and was packaged well. It is simple to insert the batteries (which come with the product) and when lit at night it is simple beautiful. I have never seen an LED globe before and I was impressed with the detail and the informational brochure that comes with it.The unlit globe shows the world with well demarcated lines for countries, capital cities are shown along with a multitude of other useful information.This is just the right size for a desk or table top and the magnifying glass just adds to the fun and interest in finding and exploring the world.Highly recommend for ages 5 and up.

Perfectly sized globe for a kids room, and is not too heavy or cumbersome for my five year old twins to move around the house. It is attractive but so educational, and has added value that batteries, a magnifying glass, and constellation teaching pamphlet are included. The first globe sent to me didn’t light up, but the seller promptly sent me a replacement which I have had no problems with.

This is very high quality product, I loved sturdiness of it. It just the right size, you can easily read.without switching on the light it shows the countries of the world, it is very good for education. the kids will love it.when you switch on the light (night mode) it shows the constellations which fun.it will give totally new perspective, kids used to view maps on computers and phones. it is much better to see it 3D :)

Great globe! It’s perfect for my son’s room as it’s just slightly smaller than most of the bulky 12” globes out there. The detail on the map is great-exactly what I would like (labeled countries, major cities, bodies of water, etc).My son was simply amazed by the glowing, constellation feature. It functions just as advertised-the map seemingly disappears and shines with the illustrations, names and star outlines of the constellations.I’d buy it again. It even came with batteries!

I bought this globe for my 8 yr old grandson, so that he could see where Papa is on his business travels. The globe is small, but it is a great size for children. It is fun for the kids to look for and find where Papa is, and they are learning geography while playing. They love the night sky constellations as well, which sometimes serves as a night light. I am so happy I bought this product, it meets and exceeds my expectations!
