Nice teapot, color... not so nice
This tea pot has more of a rusty red color to it rather than bright orange. It is nice and functional, but I wouldn't have bought it if I saw it in a store. And yes, I know that the color can appear differently depending on the screen settings, so before buying I checked it on two of my laptops, a home computer, an ipad and android device. They all show a nice bright orange color that has nothing to do with the real product.

Beautiful and Affordable
I purchased this tea pot as a gift for my mom who is Japanese. She loves tea and keeps it mostly as a decorative item but she does take it out once and while to make tea for special occassions. Many tea purists insist that cast iron is the way to go to brew loose leaf tea. This tea pot is indeed cast iron, but honestly I'm not a tea purist so I wouldn't know whether or not it makes the tea taste any different. I've drank tea out of cast iron pots, metal pots, ceramic pots and they all taste similar to me.That being beside the point, this tea pot is just simply beautiful. It's a great orange color with what I want to say is a goldfish, or as my mom would say "kingyo". It has a nice weight to it that makes it feel very durable, without it being too heavy. As mentioned before, it also acts as a great decorative item as well. The price for this tea pot is substantially lower then what I've seen for the exact same item at other locations. I won't name names, but I have seen this marked up to over 100 dollars at some locations. As of today's pricing (71 dollars) it's quite the bargain. The tea pot holds a good amount, more then enough for you and a couple guests to sit around the table and enjoy your favorite teas. It also retains it's heat very well. The only thing I'll add is that the tea pot cover does get very hot after you've poored in the hot water to make the tea. But you probably won't need to remove the lid if you're pooring the tea. Just let it cool down and remove whatever you need later when it's not so hot.I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nicer tea pot. It's made in Japan, very durable, beautiful, and works very well.

Beauty and function!
This is my second Iwachu cast iron tea pot and it is a little bigger than my other one. It is truly a work of art--and I am happy that I can use it, and then just admire it when I am finished with my tea. It also keeps tea hot for a long time. Thanks for offering this item--and at an excellent price, too!!

Great Christmas present for a tea lover
My daughter had see a cast iron teapot at someone's house. Gave her this as a Christmas present and she absolutely loves it. Keeps her tea hot while she has multiple cups of it.

Beautiful Teapot
The teapot amazingly arrived the morning after I ordered it, so that was quite impressive. It has a gorgeous design - I love the placement of the swimming fish - and the color is vibrant without being too loud at all. In sum, a beautiful piece and a good size. My only difficultly was getting the handle in place, which took a good five minutes of me struggling literally to bend an iron bar. Though now it must be on for good!
