Above average mass produced peanut butter at a reasonable price
I didn't do a side by side taste test, but based upon my recollection this seems to be at least as good as Skippy (yeah, I know - low bar), and in the ballpark of better brands. This is mass produced, smooth peanut butter, so you should know what you're getting. It's smooth (no stirring needed) and it has some of sugar added. You should compare it with similar products. Don't complain because you're getting a different experience from the gritty, oily goop your local Whole Foods is offering; that's not what you're signing up for here. This is macro-brew peanut butter for the masses. The price seems to be very competitive, so it seems like a good value for what it is. UPDATE: After a year of supply chain issues, I finally got a chance to do a side by side taste test with this peanut butter vs. Jif. Jif seems to be widely regarded as the best mass-produced peanut butter, so this seemed like a worthwhile comparison. My taste test involved both eating straight peanut butter with a spoon (Don’t judge!), and on Carr’s table water crackers. Of course, I tasted with a fine Cabernet Sauvignon. Straight from the spoon, the Jif had a very smooth texture, while the Happy Belly was notably gritty and pasty in comparison. On a cracker this difference was imperceptible. Both had a strong and enjoyable peanut taste. Jif had a roasted peanut aftertaste that gave it a superior flavor profile, but this difference stands out primarily in side-by-side comparisons. You likely wouldn’t miss it otherwise. Bottom line: For the price, it’s hard to beat this peanut butter. You can serve it at wine tastings with Cabernet Sauvignon. You can spread it on toast. You can use it as ballast for your trans-oceanic sail. You can hurl it from parapets at invading armies. You can use jars of it as chips in your weekend poker games. You can feed it to your dog. You can feed it to your family. You can juggle jars of it in your side show performance for the circus. You can use it as a replacement for the softball at your firm’s weekend softball game (warning: you might be covered with peanut butter). You can use it for skeet shooting practice. You can use it for caulking in your bathroom or submarine. You can use it as a substitute for C4 on you next secret mission (caveat: may not actually explode). You could use it to stock your bunker. You can use it to deliver a child (caveat: this involves leaving the peanut butter in your glove box and calling a doctor). You can launch it into space (rocket not included).

A creamy peanut butter with a unique texture
This peanut butter definitely tastes different from other brands, which I think is a good thing. I think it has much more texture, with almost a grittiness to the texture. I personally find this enjoyable in creamy peanut butter since it keeps it interesting, but people who want their peanut butter to be perfectly smooth might take issue with it. The ingredients are decent and nothing spectacular; it does contain added sugar and oil. This makes it so it is ready to eat without stirring, which is convenient for anyone who doesn't enjoy stirring peanut butter. I like all peanut butter and I think each brings something different to the table, so I think it's worth trying for a good price.

Tastes as good as brand names. Can't keep it in the house because it's pretty darn tasty 😋

I’ll be reordering this peanut butter
Creamy. Good quality. Taste great. We have used this primarily for PB&J sandwiches as that’s a quick and easy staple for lunch in our house. My son loves it and has issued no complaints. My wife who considers herself a PB&J “expert” likes it too. With that being said we have purchased store brand peanut butter from grocery stores and vowed to never buy them again. This is a safe choice that’s a good value. I’ll be placing a reorder in the next few minutes.

I highly recommended it
Honestly, for extremely cheap peanut butter the taste is amazing. It honestly beat some more expensive brands. I highly recommend this product.

A fair peanut butter at a too high price, generic for more than you pay for most name brands
Edit 4-2026, opened another 40 ounce jar of ‘no-stir’ creamy amazon peanut butter- and was greeted with another puddle of oil that required draining and stirring and still a gloppy mess- can’t recommend Edit 3-2026: I finally opened one of the 40 ounce jars- still has 7 months till best by date- there was an oil slick on top which i poured off, but it’s still sloppy, loose, gloppy after stirring- it doesn’t taste awful- but I wouldn’t buy again unless significantly less expensive than competitors omg- the price went up again- almost $2 a lb. if i wanted to pay $2 a pound for peanut butter i'd be buying skippy- not some no name generic- i just got this delivered earlier this month at well under $1.50 a lb _ can't you keep the minimum food staples at reasonable prices- soup, beans, peanut butter, flour, rice, powdered milk, the basics should be affordable - i will never be able to afford caviar and i'm ok with that, but i should be able to afford peanut butter Update December 2025: the 1 pound jars i ordered/received to Michigan at the end of 2025 have more than a year till best by date, 3-2027. If you can get it for $1-$1.25 pound, stock up, a better value than store/name brands A little bit concerned about how soft the plastic jars are getting- it’s similar to generic bottled water thin. Being shipped in plastic/paper bags, I wouldn’t be surprised to get a shipping bag with all the peanut butter squeezed out 🤷♂️ WoW, all generic and store brands look the same? I guess red and white are the peanut butter colors. I haven’t opened the Amazon grocery brand of peanut butter yet, but I’m pretty sure best by date would be helpful to some. So, the 6 jars i had delivered to Michigan in September 2025 have September 2026 date in 40 ounce and 11-2026 in 16 ounce jars. At $1.25 for 1 pounc to $3 for 40 ounces, I thought it was a good deal- pre covid prices Most of these store brands taste the same, some have molasses, others don’t. The ingredients are 99% the same Skippy is about the same price if you prefer name brand https://a.co/d/b9qljwk If the price is fair for you, it’s worth trying

Tasted good on pancakes. Will try it out on toast next
My daughter enjoys peanut butter toast and sandwiches. She prefers creamy and our local store was out. I decided to give this a try. It was on sale and the price was really good. It arrived on time. We decided to give it a try on some pancakes I made the day before. It tastes pretty good.
