Best splatter screen on the planet
This splatter screen is phenomenal- fits right up to the handle, so no splatters & its shape makes it easy to store without the long handles of most others. Love it and ordered an extra one for my daughter!!

Effective in greatly reducing splatter
Effective in greatly reducing splatter. However, it does "steam" the food a bit. That tradeoff is worth it for me. The one feature I don't like is the lip around the edge that makes it difficult to seat firmly on a pan. I also wish they had smaller sizes.

Really Good Product
Had one of these already I got in Europe and looked all over here. Really great for keeping the stove clean while you cook and cooking quicker covered without having to worry about pressure build up or over-flow.

Great Splatter Guard
Does the job. A little too big for some of my small pans, but works non the less. Keeps from having to keep cleaning the range top.

Could be a 5 save for one thing.
So close... Other reviews are correct. There aren't enough vents on the lid so you will effectively steam whatever is in the fry pan. In fact, the photo is misleading--you think there are perforations across the entire lid, but there aren't. The vents are clustered around the very top of the lid and the others are divots in the pan lid that do not allow steam to escape. This could be perfect if they simply added more vents for steam to escape. Some years ago Cuisinart made a similar splatter guard. It worked perfectly save for one thing--well two really--the plastic handles melted and came loose from the pan and the non stick coating underneath (which really wasn't necessary) chipped and peeled. This lid is a riff on that, and if they would just add some additional ventilation they would have the perfect splatter guard. I am going to keep it, and I am also going to see if I can figure out a way to safely add some holes in the front. It is still better than a mesh splatter screen, but if they made one simple change it would be a 5 for sure.
