Balazs Lazer Speed Bag

in my view this is the finest speed bag I ever purchased over the last 40 years . I have had numerous bags and follow the DVD The speed Bag Bible to learn many different ways to hit the bag. I noticed on the new DVD Art of the Bag with Alllen Kahn he was hitting one of these Balazs lazer bags. Well the price seemed steep but after purchasing it I was very pleased. It is a bit heavier than some bags on the market but the leather and workmanship is superior to any thing I have seen. The leather is thicker then the contender or ringside and title bags I have. There is no welting or leather pieces between the seems like all other bags. There are no laces to be tightened and apparently they put the bladder in the bag through the top of the bag .The loop the bag is suspended from is thicker then any I have on any of my other 6 bags. If you are just getting into this and are not sure of how long you may stick with this then get a cheaper speed bag. If you have the speed bag fever and want to really master all the methods, tricks and combinations of the best out there like Alan Kahn then get one of these bags . It will hold up well and give you years of service.

I got the medium Jet bag and have had it for about a week now. I've spent probably about 2 hours hitting it. It's a pretty fast and true bag, not over or undersized for what its marketed as. I think the quality stands out for sure. I've had issues in the past with other bags where the loop has failed, this bag has a pretty thick loop that is "bolted" to the bag. I don't think it will fail. In a week, hanging in my garage with pretty large temperature fluctuations, I haven't had to add air to it at all yet, despite the instructions saying it is designed to lose a little bit of air. Shipping was FAST, considering it wasn't prime, I figured it would be a week + before I got it...I got it in 4 business days (including the day I ordered it, and I ordered it later in the day), delivered on a SATURDAY. It was shipped UPS I think, and transferred to the postal service who dropped it off to my mailbox.

Soft leather, but after not using more than 50 times and alsways being sure to lubricate the needle, it leaks so bad it’s fully deflated in 15 minutes. Wanted to support an American company.

What a high quality speed bag! I have two Title bags (one small, one medium), and this Balazs large (8x11). While I would also give the two Title bags 5 stars, this one oozes more quality in terms of stitching, feel, and workmanship. I will NOT say it is better (it probably is, but I won't say it since they're both VERY good), but will say that the Balazs LOOKS great (and also performs great).Dunno if it's the bladder or the size (a large), but this one gets softer (loses air) faster than the smaller Title bags (gotta pump it once every two weeks to maintain it at your preferred PSI, and at least once a month to keep it "puncheable" -- not a big deal). If I were to make an analogy, it's like a bike tire with latex inner tubes vis-a-vis a butyl tube, in terms of losing air.

I had one of my Balaz bags start losing air through the top. I reached out to the company to see if I could get a replacement They said they don't generally replace them after the customer has had them as long as I had but they went ahead and sent me a new bag. I do worry about the fact that these don't have replacement bladders but they are very nice and the company was very nice to have stood by their product and send me a replacement.

this is by far the best speed bag i've owned ... i have used boxing to work out for years (30+) ... had a variety of speed bags mostly from a different major boxing company ... it's not cheap but i hope to not have to buy another for a decade (they won't last forever) ... NEARLY perfectly balanced so it's easy to use and get a good rhythm going ... follow the detailed instructions and you won't have any issues ... very much recommended

I returned and bought another Cleto Reyes. Very disappointed. Too round, didn't hold air well. Leather that swivel holds onto was not solid. Bag jumped around everywhere. Too smooth. I was super excited. My Cleto lasted me 3 years. I have a cheap miester bag that's better than this thing.

Get the Cleto Reyes bag instead! Cheaper and better quality!
