Grade A quality, HIPS offers similar 3D printing properties as ABS filament, and it can be used to create both standalone objects or as a support for ABS printed parts. The main difference between ABS and HIPS, is that HIPS is completely dissolvable in Limonene, and therefore ideal for creating temporary supports for structures that would otherwise be impossible to make. In addition to being highly versatile, High Impact Polystyrene Dissolvable Filament is extremely strong, impact resistant, and very economical. Ideal for beginners, HIPS is simple to use, easy to paint and glue, and it offers excellent three-dimensional stability. Commonly used for creating pre-production prototypes and lightweight parts, it exudes precisely for consistent layering, making more intricate 3D projects much easier to complete.
