10 Pcs Tap Extractor Set Broken Head Screw Remover Steel Screw Remover Tool 3 Types

Broke a thread chaser off in ls 5.3 cylinder head bolt hole at bottom of the block. My day was ruined and I found these on Amazon but was skeptical. Ordered on Saturday and showed up Sunday morning early (7am). Gave it a try and the chaser came right out and the day was saved. For the price you can't go wrong. I used the 12mm on that 11mm chaser and fit fine. Can't speak for the small sizes that people seem to say that they break as I haven't used them yet. The 12mm I used worked great and even lightly tapped on it to fully seat into the flutes and didn't break or bend. Very easy to use.

I’m only giving it the one star because the concept of the device is perfect. The material used to make it is cheap and will break instantly clogging up the only holes that you have to try and get the broken tap out very frustrating truly made like crap. Do not waste your money.

It worked to remove a broken M8 tap that inside an aluminum head! Had a rough go removing the only bolt from an BMW n54 intake manifold- it cold welded itself to the block. Sheet extracting the remains i then had to drill and tap the hole one size larger, and that's when the low quality tap sheared. This set was the absolute cheapest tap extractor on Amazon and it worked great! I applied liberal amounts of of heat and penetrant to make things easy. I was able to, very slowly, work the tap both ways until finally being able to remove it completely. Very happy, just take your time and feel your way through it!

The hole saw broke off inside, and I need to use this to take it out.

This is a very nice set of tap extractors. I have used them a couple times and they did the job. I would recommend to a friend. I used one for a 3/8” tap that broke off and I taped it on the tap and it came back out with no problem. I feel the set paid for itself the first time used.

This tool is made well but I found it doesn't always work as designed in all instances. For the smaller fasternes I've has to find other tools that work better than this set.

Not a great tool. Dose not hold on to broken tap. Did not work for three different taps that broke. Would not recommend this to others.

I was cleaning the threads on an engine block. The tap broke deep inside. With this tool and WD40 and taking my time it removed the broken tap flawlessly . Highly recommend.
