Engy (Egypt), Atheer (Iraq), Alaa (Egypt), Walid (Lebanon), Razanne (Syria), Abdelhak (Morocco), Wasem (Palestine), Luma (Jordan), Islam (Egypt), Hend (Egypt), Abdulkarem (Yemen), and Lilia (Tunisia) Review: Excellent quality, rich material - I bought Egyptian Arabic Diaries, Egyptian Arabic Verbs, Egyptian Arabic Vocabulary, Arabic Stories 1 & 2. Downloaded the audio files through the Lingualism site. Excellent quality, rich material, original pronunciation (hint: play the audio at low speed in your VLC, at normal speed you can't get anything on first pass). The side by side original script transliteration (pronunciation guide), literal english translation and arabic script is exactly what I am looking for!!! It is missing in all other books. All in all, these books are EXCELLENT, are the BEST out there to enrich your vocabulary in egyptian arabic. Two hints for beginners.... 1. These books are not for beginners. They don't have grammar, so you cannot follow up on the syntax at all. Go first for a beginners book with grammar like Ultimate Arabic or something else 2. These books (except Arabic Stories 1 and 2) DON'T TEACH modern standard arabic but only the egyptian dialect which is way different from MSA. In conclusion VERY SATISFIED and looking forward to more books from these editions. Keep up the good work!!!! Review: Real Arabic native speakers with Real and useful everyday Arabic dialogue from people all around the Arab ... - That's what I was looking for... Good book. Yet does not explain the arabic letters!
The book semestre excellent yet the arabic writing is very little and they do not explain the writing. I guess is only for getting accustomed to the listening.

Excellent
This is a great book to get acquainted with the various dialects of Arabic. Listening and reading the dialogues will help you learn vocabulary that will help you get by in different countries of the Arab World. I highly recommend this book for serious learners who want to get exposed to spoken Arabic.

Awesome Book
I haven't finished this book yet but so far I absolutely love it. I'm an Arabic major and going into the advance classes this is super useful! I love that each section has a new dialect you are introduced to. I was familiar with Egyptian and Levantine, but the inclusion of the Tunisian was awesome as I've never heard it before. This book is great for getting an ear for what the dialects sound like. I do wish they included more of the gulf regions but still the book is wonderful. The vocabulary in the MSA units are useful and I think this book would be a great supplement to anyone taking Arabic in college.
