Very detailed

This book is very factual and doesn’t go for sensationalism! Mr Hopkins has done his research! I like how he included the history of Elvis Presley Enterprises and how it came to be!

Good book. Informative. Learned some stuff. I thought I knew everything. Do you have any more books on my favorite. Subject?

I just finished reading Elvis The Biography and I highly recommend reading this. There are some factual errors in the book however. It states that Bill Black died in an auto accident. WRONG! Bill Black died from a milignat brain tumor. Priscilla was 17 years old not 14 when she moved to Graceland. There's a few more, but that one really stuck out!

Loved this book. I found it easy to read and hard to put down . loved reading about all things that happened after his death and the progression of EPE! Elvis was a very complicated man! He is iconic for his music and showmanship. This book is a " must " read if you are a true Elvis fan.

very good book

This is a comprehensive portrayal of the life of Elvis Presley.

I read this when it first came out, I was about 15. It blew me away. I still have the original paperback and it’s in pieces. This revised and updated version is wonderful, and a reminder of what a great biographer Jerry Hopkins is. And what a great phenomenon we lived through.

Enjoyable read

ずっと昔に片岡義男氏訳の日本語翻訳版を読みました。まだElvis存命中に出たもので、ラスベガスに出たあたりまでが描かれていたと思います。この本はそれを含め、さらにその続きから不幸な死を遂げるまでのElvisの一生を詳細に描いています。Elvisの周辺の人たちの証言を繋げていますので、中には誇張や誤解もあるのかも知れませんが、素晴らしい一冊です。英語も平易で読みやすいです。

Für einen Elvisfan ein muss. Wenn auch nur in Englisch erhältlich dennoch gut zu lesen.
