ClearaudioLP Drill Tool for 33rpm Records corrects for undersized spindle holes

Such an irritation to try to push some of the LPs down on the center spindle . You would think the hole size in the center of the album would be closely monitored to specifications . But they are not, many are just too small.. Hence this valuable tool !The handle is a hefty metal. Has a nice feel to it. The metal drill part is very sharp. Screw it down and when you get to the handle part it cuts the center hole perfectly . I think the price is way too expensive .. But they seem to have no competition . A must have for serious audiophile Record collector . Go ahead and spend the money . You know you need it .

As others have stated not cheap but you are getting ClearAudio quality. There's something very satisfying to using this well-made tool on a record that just won't easily be mounted on your turntable. I now look forward to records that are simply too tight and getting a perfectly smooth fitment. For the cost of a couple of records? Yes please.

I read the previous reviews and found them to be spot on. It's an expensive gadget but works great! Small, handy, won't roll around, and fixes the small spindle holes in my LP's in no time.

$50 for a drill bit is crazy but it does the job. It is all metal and very nicely made. I put off buying it for years looking to by a drill bit and a handle but just gave in and bought this. Should have done it years ago.

I’ve waited to buy this for years because of the high price. I have a Thorens turntable and they are well known for having a maybe a touch too thick spindle. Or at the very least it is at the thick end of “in compliance”. To get those tighter holes on my deck I have been using a pencil to slowly widen the hole. It works eventually, but this item is such a treat to use. It’s a perfect match for the Thorens. I can now say it is worth the price if you listen to a lot of vinyl.

Sure it's expensive, but what's the use of an LP that you can't hear or that gets stuck on the turntable spindle. You need something with precision, and this product is the one. Everything that Clearaudio makes is superior, as well as their turntables.

Simple device makes a frustrating problem just vanish. Like all things Clearaudio, impressive, elegant construction and a joy to handle.

Modern high quality turntables have tend to have large spindles so chances are you need this. Works perfectly and simply ... there is no damage to the record in any way, just the proper gauge spindle hole. A worthwhile investment.
