They get the sandstone nicely polished. It's plenty of work - no complaint there. But the 100, 200, 400, and 800 grit I've gone through 2 each doing a sandstone shower and I have plenty to go. The others show little wear.

Not as good quality as 4 inch pads
I use these for stones (not concrete) and the higher grit leaves very fine scratches on the surface of my stones. Its very frustrating. But for things not so delicate they would work fine

Excellent results...removed etching and scratches
These worked very well. We had an etched travertine countertop, that the "experts" said could not be easily fixed. Using these and a random orbit polisher (Porter Cable), we were able to remove all etching and all scratches. I started at 800 grit and moved through 3000 grit and buffing. The result was very good, and brought the counter to slightly shiner than a "honed" look. I am not sure if I continued to polish it with these, if it would have brought it to a full reflective finish.I read online that the way to bring up a gloss was to use a marble powder and a felt pad. Ordered those from amazon. The result is as good or better than the originally installed finish. We are very pleased with the result. Two cautions...use plenty of water when using the disks...I used a spray bottle of plain water. And secondly, if using the marble powder be sure to use a good mask (not the standard cheap paper ones) as the dust is pretty bad to breathe.

The pads are sturdy and I used each different grit, however I didn't see a difference in my marble floor as far as restoring the shine.

I used these with a porter cable polisher to polish homemade concrete countertops. The product performed exactly the way I wished, and produced a very smooth finish.

Professional Results
Great product that produces professional results saving you hundreds of dollars over commercial restoration services.TIP: I didn't have angle grinder that produces the lower RPMs (2200-4500 RPM) recommended for wet diamond polishing, but found an awesome Craftsman 10 amp 7" polisher that the Stadea 6" inch hook and loop backing pad with 5/8-11 Arbor fits perfectly. I bought this heavy duty polisher that has a variable speed adjustment from 800 RPM to 3000 RPM for $65. I considered that a steal and I was able to refinish and remove scratches from 3 older cultured marble countertops for less than $170. Disclaimer: I do NOT work for Sears, just passing on a friendly tip.
