Card Tricks: The Royal Road to Card Magic

Got this as a gift for my partner‘s dad because he has started playing with card tricks and I flipped through some of the pages and it’s the real deal. Fresh hardcover crispy well written book. It’s got all sorts of different types of slide of hand card tricks and it’s really cool. I can’t wait to gift this!!

It should be noted that this is simply an updated (and very nicely done hardcopy) version of The Royal Road to Card Magic - just because it has the “Card Tricks:” added to its title, it is not an ‘offshoot’ of the original. It is a new and improved version, with better and clearer diagrams/images (I compared it to another copy I have of The Royal Road to Card Magic). Oddly enough this new, improved and hardcopy version is cheaper than the older paperback version! So I would definitely purchase this book without hesitation. It is chock full of fundamental essentials for the budding cardician/magician. A must-have - pick this up now!

Bit of a dull read but nonetheless teaches you basics of card tricks and such

I am still in the beginning section of this fascinating book but I have already learned a number of important things in regards to card magic and how to properly hold and handle the cards and why it is done that way. I was recommended this book from every respectable magician on YouTube and the internet in general. This book is an absolute classic and must have for any aspiring card magician.

This book was a gift for my teenage grandson and he loved it. I can't wait to see the magic tricks that he will learn.

Well written, clearly written and clearly presented. I have found the instruction / tuition contained within its pages, invaluable. It is an acclaimed work by accomplished magicians.

Très beau livre avec une intro ajoutée à l'originale, après sa reedition, détaillant les objectif de ce livre. Anglais très correct, peut être un peu compliqué des fois mais ça reste globalement très compréhensible. Pas besoin d'être familier avec les termes anglophones des "card tricks"

Hay que tener en cuenta que el libro fue escrito hace ya tiempo, por lo que algunos juegos pueden parecer algo antiguos, pero son perfectamente adaptables a los manejos actuales. Contiene clásicos con los que merece la pena experimentar, y los manejos básicos con la baraja (algunos nivel medio). Casi 300 páginas de contenido que sin duda te hará experimentar. Recomendable para magos que se estén iniciando (por todo), o para algo más avanzados para que conozcan juegos del momento (aunque técnicamente puede que no les aporte mucho). Por supuesto, el libro está en inglés. Muy recomendable, por este precio tener el libro con el contenido original que puede inspirarte para añadir buenos juegos a tus rutinas/shows :D
