Adds much better sensitivity to your Track IR
I have used Track IR for years, using just the plain jane hat clip it came with and really had no issues other than during summer it was a little warm to be wearing a hat indoors. So after about 4 years of it, and noticing the stickers starting to peel and cause IR refraction, i decided to give this a go. I initially thought this was a bit pricey for something that just reflected IR, as I thought it was pretty much the same as the hat clip. However, the Track clip Pro actually has powered Red LED's, You can adjust the brightness and the receptiveness through the Track IR software, and you ca set it up just by clicking the Track Clip Icon and telling the software to center view. you do have to move your Track IR Receiver off set to whichever side of the head you use it on, and in my case I like to look down a lot, so I actually have the track clip adjusted to point upward. It works perfectly every time I go to use it, and the receiver picks it up even with interference such as a reflective shirt, because it actually has red LED's easier to pick up than IR reflectors, My only complaint is that is does take up a USB to power the LED's but I'm under belief that you could get away with just using a powered USB from anything, and not necessarily the PC, if you so wished, although I haven't tested this. For me it was a non-issue as I have hubs and extenders all over my flight sim rig.It seems pretty durable for what it is, Thicker headsets may not work great with it, as it does open up pretty big but has very firm foam, I use AKG K240's and they work really well with this, and other Wireframe headsets, so beware of this.If I have any sort of issues in the future I will update my review, but so far it is a wonderful upgrade.

I don't have to think about it
It comes on a generic package but the item itself is labeled as track IR. Let's put it this way, I've used 3D printed ones in the past that come with the modified Ps3 Camera. The fact that this has an arm that swivels, a USB cable that splits to feed the tracking camera and a much longer cable makes it so much more comfortable that I don't have to think about it. The clip doesn't have springs it just locks with a latch and a nice sponge that holds the device to your headphones. The LED arm does not decouple either like it is shown in some pictures here, so I've no complaints.I don't have to think about, it's one of those pieces of hardware that does what it needs to do well enough that you don't notice it anymore. Exactly what you're looking for.If you have an issue with tracking, is your lightning or something reflecting upon your IR camera. Nothing like what I had to deal with zip ties in the past, ugh!!

Great head tracking unit, but handle with care...
First I have to admit, I only purchased any version of head tracking for nights when I can't be bothered to put on my VR headset, or it is too hot for it. I originally started with a DelanClip for a cheaper entry into IR tracking. That setup worked okayyy, but even though DelanClip offered a more sturdy product (aluminum chassis vs. plastic) you had to shape it yourself and when doing that, the IR lights become almost impossible to align properly. So after a little time, I decided to pick up the Track Clip Pro and compare experiences.-While I would say both IR units worked perfectly fine, I felt the Track Clip Pro provided a smoother tracking and more consistent.-Adjustable movement on Track Clip Pro allowed for more options in getting a clean and interference free track.-Clip for headset is both a pro and a con. Pro: it seems to be able to fit a lot of the more popular headset brands out there with it's adjustable clip. The CON is that clip is preeeeetty thin and flimsy, so be careful if you are not able to close the clip, make sure it's not binding, because if you snap that clip it's back to Amazon to get yourself a new one.Overall, it's a good buy especially if you maybe went with the cheaper PSEye camera option with the IR filters modded. Also for those who purchased TIR5 but not the bundle, as I have heard this is much better than the clip for hats that is supplied with TIR5 base package. Cheap price but also cheap materials, so be careful. Also, don't know if this was just the seller or how they all ship, but it was just the Track Clip Pro, a small info sheet, and minimal shipping material in the box, was thankful it wasn't broken from shipping.

Better at the extremes of head movements
Works well. A bit pricey considering it is not a whole lot better than the hat clip that comes with TrackIR. The primary difference is that the PRO clip is better at the extremes of your head movements. For example, in the F18, when you want to look up through the canopy in a dogfight, the hat clip will spaz out but the PRO clip will maintain head track. Your mileage may vary.

Just do it! You know you want to.
This is a must have for flight sims if you don’t do VR. I love it. You probably will too.

IR-LED Superior to Hat Clip
Very satisfied with this IR-LED upgrade over the basic reflector-clip mounted on a hat.The basic reflector has two major shortcomings versus the IR-LED upgrade. The first was a real hassle for me. Stray light from either sunshine on the curtains or just a light in the room would interfere with the tracking. Had to hang towels off of the curtain rod during some times of the day. Also, all lights in the room had to be off. The IR-LED successfully handles all ambient light.Second issue. The 3D configuration of the IR-LED is superior to the reflector. The IR-LED emitters are round and easier for the software to resolve. The reflectors are closer to kidney-shaped and the reflector sensing angle is less. I can easily turn my head through out the entire range without IR dots overlapping which causes the view to flip. This was not possible with the reflectors and at the edges of the sensed range would flip the view. Additionally, the accuracy of the IR-LED is twice that of the reflector as the light travels direct. The clip requires the light to travel twice the distance as being reflected from rounded reflective-tape. Micro movements of the head are not an issue with the IR-LED.
