HC39GE242A - OEM Upgraded Heil 1/4 HP 230v Condenser Fan Motor

Being only slightly handy person, I wouldn't know which motor could sub in for other motors. Being that I'm not a licensed HVAC contractor, no shop in town that carried a motor that would work would even talk to me. So I made sure to order the same part number which was HC39GE242A. This motor was the exact size, had the same wires, same spindle end, etc.The old motor had a yellow, brown, and black wire. This new motor had a yellow, brown, and black wire. The new motor also came with the correct terminals on the ends of those wires, making it extremely simple to match the wires up. It took all of 15 minutes to swap an old dying motor for this one, and my house is cold again. I am paranoid when working on high voltage stuff, I made sure to cut the breaker, and to wear some thick rubber gloves, as well as do all of my wire connecting with a pair of insulated plyers. Probably overkill.Since we had a heat wave come in right after my A/C went out, I paid for the next day shipping, which wasn't cheap, but it arrived less than 24 hours after I ordered it, leaving me with only 1 miserable night in a pool of my own sweat. Better than the one the HVAC install put it, lasted like 4 months. This one is perfect and runs great.

Motor is working after an easy 10 min installation and is much more quiet than the old one. Can’t say much for increased Rpm but I’m sure it’s not rated higher for no reason. Old motor went out and this one replaced it and it’s working just fine. Buy now if your looking to replace as I had to

Works great. Was expecting to receive a motor with the same model number as the description states but it seems to work ok. Original was 825rpm and this new one is 1100, I would be concerned if the rpm was any higher, don't think the fan is balanced well enough. Mechanical dimensions and wiring are identical to my original HC39GE242A Genteq motor.

I decided to replace the original carrier motor when the original failed. This was a much needed upgrade, worked perfectly/better than the original!

Update, bought this 2 years ago and just had my AC system checked out. This motor is still drawing low amps and the bearings sound good, it should be OK for a good while yet.
