I bought this specifically to assist me in a close reading Immanuel Kant's Critique of Pure Reason, sentence by sentence, over a course of months. Who knows? maybe years. It means i don't have to keep picking up and putting it down between sentences and paragraphs, which is better for my elderly wrists and for my copy of CPR's elderly spine. Should i ever get to the end of CPR I've got a queue of other ponderous philosophical tomes waiting to take their place on this stand. The object itself is rugged, discrete and stable. The bar that holds the pages open is just stiff enough to stay where you put it. Completely satisfactory and at a minimal price.

It’s sturdy enough for a heavyish book. But I’ve been surprised at how good it is!

So excited to get this today. I wanted a small book stand that was collapsible as I’ve only got a small kitchen & not got the room to have a big stand out permanently. This is just perfect. It hold my cookbooks so I can read the recipes really well. Up until last year when the kitchen was revamped I used a trouser hanger hanging off the cupboard handle but this is so much more stylish. A great buy.

Perfect as book stand and easy to be stored as it's not wide and gets really thin when folded.

Especially with new books that want to close until broken it. This stand hold book in the correct position at the pages required allowing you to take notes and not having to worrying of pages turning

Sturdy item. Front piece stiff but moves so good for paper or books. Just wish the back piece would clip in rather than just rest, so it doesn’t collapse every time you go to move it
