Review: Working very well for me - I've been fairly impressed with this little bugger. - Keeps everything flat - Seals flat and evenly, no wrinkles, etc. - Quick heat with ready light - I haven't had anything jam so I don't know how well the jam release works - It runs quietly enough - It's not the fastest I've seen, but it's respectable It comes with a separate tool to round the corners. That stores in the body of the laminator, which I was happy to discover. It works pretty well and gives things a more professional presentation as well as saving you scratches. I don't use this daily. I'd say 4 or 5 times a month. I think that might be low volume, but when I do need it, it's because it's something important to me so it's important that this work well. As yet it hasn't failed me, and I'm more than happy with it. For high volume I'd probably go with a continuous feed type so you don't have to bag everything first, but for low volume, I think this is worth considering. I got it to laminate golf course yardage guides, but I ended up buying a commercial product. Didn't need it until this week, when I wanted to make some 8.5" x 11" signs for a golf tournament registration and player check-in booth. Ended up making 40 different signs, so I gave this machine a thorough workout! Here's what I liked about this laminator: 1. Instructions were easy to follow. 2. The machine warmed up pretty quickly, and produced each laminated page in about a minute. 3. There was no annoying smell, which some laminators I've used emitted. 4. The underside of the machine stayed relatively cool, so there was no risk of heat damage to either the worktable or corian counter I used. 5. The included pouches are of good quality, and when rolled through the laminator stayed clear and fully-sealed. 6. The paper cutter cleanly sliced off the extra laminated plastic quickly and easily. 7. The box this machine came in works for storing the machine after use. This may not seem like a big deal, but so many times I've had packaging disentegrate while opening! Now that I've finally put my laminator to use, I suspect there'll be more than a few documents getting the plastic treatment around the house.

Easy To Use, Produces Good Quality Lamination

larger and more expensive than most home users need, doesn't always laminate completely
This is a large laminator. The popular Scotch thermal laminator that Amazon has been selling for many years costs much less, but can only laminate sheets up to 9 inches wide (fine for 8.5x11 paper, but no wider). This JZBRAIN laminator can handle sheets 12 inches wide (maybe a little wider, but the biggest laminator pouches that I have are 9x12 and they fit in this laminator sideways). JZBRAIN warms up faster than Scotch (about 3 minutes, compared to 6 minutes for Scotch). The sheets feed more quickly in the JZBRAIN laminator, but maybe too fast. Half of my sheets did not completely laminate with one pass and I had to run them through again, which is a hassle. The built-in paper cutter is nice quality if you don't already have one. Since it is built-in, it doesn't require any extra desk space. A starter set of laminator pouches is included. Standard thermal laminator pouches are available from many different vendors. The thinner 3 and 5 mil pouches work best in this machine. If you really need to use laminator pouches that are 12 inches wide, then this is a fine product to get. If you're happy with 9 inches, then there are more lots of more reasonably priced options.

Nice to have a laminator at home, but doesn't do a professional job with the enclosed pouches
This laminator is a wonderful compact size and includes a cutter blade and a hand tool for rounding the edges if you need to cut the sides down after laminating. I had some issues with the finished product, but I think it may be due to the thinness of the laminating pouches that come with this machine. The amount of enclosed pouches is very generous, 20 pouches with a variety of sizes (from 3 1/2 by 5 1/2 up to 9 by 14 1/2 inches) and thicknesses, but I found them all to be inadequate for producing a professional job. When laminating something with the stiffness of a thin business card or index card, the laminating machine had trouble closing the side seams with the smaller sized laminating pouches, leaving the sides slightly open. When laminating regular sized (8 1/2 by 11 inch) copy paper or magazine type paper, the finished product came out with a plastic crimped corner and a curve in the entire sheet. I want to try laminating sheets with more thickness, to see if that corrects these problems, but am wondering if the machine came with thinner laminating sheets because that is as much as the machine can handle. The guide is a little confusing as it measures thicknesses in microns, and from with I can see on the guide, the maximum thickness it can handle is the thickness of their smallest enclosed pouch (which did not seal on the edges with a business card thickness item inside it). I like the cutter blade that is included on the machine - it is really convenient and space saving and has a great blade that makes a clean cut through the laminated product. It locks closed and has a good safety feature of holding whatever open position you put it in rather than crashing down when you let go of the handle. A handy corner cutter fits neatly into the back of the unit. You can't beat the compact and well thought out design of this laminator and accessories - I am hoping trying thicker laminating pouches will alleviate the issues I had. There is also the option to use a cold press instead of the hot press, but the manual did not indicate if the enclosed pouches were for cold or hot press, and I assumed they were for hot press as the manual mentions the cold press pouches have a special adhesive lining.

Quick 4-in-1 laminator
I use this laminator for laminating props for my online classroom with VIPKID. It’s larger than most I expect but still pretty compact. This laminator has 4-in-1 capabilities; it’s a both a hot and cold laminator, paper cutter, corner rounder. I have yet to use the corner rounder but it seems like a handy addition.I have used the paper cutter and hot lamination many times. I really appreciate the paper cutter. The laminator comes handily comes with 20 laminating heat-activated pouches in multiple assorted sizes sizes from very small to large sizes: 12”x18,” 9”x11.4”, 9”x14.5”, 3.5”x5.3.” For my first use, I used the pouches that were a little bigger than letter size and it was really fast! It says that it has a 3-5 minute heat-up time but I swear it was shorter than that for my first use. You can tell it’s hot laminating time by a slight but mostly insignificant burning smell. Make sure you put the sealed edge first. There is a handy switch to select hot or cold as well as an on and off switch. The instructions are simple and very easy to follow.

Exactly what I've been looking for!
I have been searching for a good laminator for a while now. I work at a school as a garden coordinator, and I make a lot of signs for the kids about plant life cycles, plant information sheets, how-tos, etc. I've been using self-laminating pouches--which are amazing, but just not that durable, especially when the signs are left outside. This laminator is a game changer. It couldn't be easier to use. Turn it on, set it to hot (you can cold laminate, too, though), put your paper in one of the included plastic pouches, and put it through the machine. It takes about 30 seconds to complete, and the finished project is perfect and professional. My only suggestion is to pay attention to the size of pouches you're using. There is a variety included, and you obviously want to use the pouch that's closest to the size you want so you don't have to spend a lot of time trimming. FYI, there is a paper cutter attached to the laminator that is extremely sharp and precise. It makes trimming the signs SO easy. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this laminator. It is exactly what I wanted, and it takes so little effort to get a truly beautiful end result. Highly recommended.

Convenient and All-In-One w a Small Footprint
This JZBRAIN LN-001-VV 13â€â€ Thermal Laminator Machine for A3/A4/A6 is fantastic. It is very compact, and easily stows away on my shelf, almost out-of-sight when not in use. The laminator has an On/Off button and a Heat/Cool button, so if you want lamination, it needs to be On, and the heat needs to be selected. This came with a large pack of various sized laminator papers: 3- 12"x18" pieces, 4- 9"x14.5", 5- 3.5"x5.3", and 6- 9"x 11.4". The clover I laminated in the pic is one of the 3.5"x5.3" pieces cut in half. The top of this laminator is a paper cutter, so you don't need to get a pair of scissors out, and your cuts are straight. The back of this laminator has a little slot where they thoughtfully included a small device that rounds corners of laminator paper you cut, making your sheets look very professional (love this- won't lose it either). This did not take long to heat up, and the light turns green when it's ready. I'd highly recommend this great all-in-one.

Works pretty well
I've used this to laminate various household items (recipes, workout schedules, etc.). I'm quite happy with it overall. It comes with a variety of lamination sleeves which vary in size from small to large. The paper cutter on the top of this unit is also quite useful, not only for if the lamination sleeve is a bit larger than what you're laminating, but for any other use you might have around the house. The corner rounder, which chops off the 90 degree corner and rounds them off, is also a very nice touch. It snaps into place under the unit. Warm-up time for hot laminating takes a few minutes, but I don't think it's much longer than other machines I've had in the past. The laminated sheet comes out fairly cool, and overall I'm happy with the unit. My only complaints are that on a couple sheets I've laminated, I got a turned-up corner. This is set in place pretty well and refuses to flatten out even when bent in the opposite direction. It's a very small nitpick, but a nitpick nonetheless. Also, on another sheet I've got a small (and barely noticeable) wrinkle across the sheet - once again a small nitpick but enough to knock this product from 5 stars down to 4. Overall I'm quite happy with this unit and as I say, I'm just nitpicking but I think it could work slightly better than it does. Still very handy and useful around the house.
