Dehydrated Organic Water Kefir Grains Crystals

These are fantastic water kefir grains. The instructions included were concise, easy to follow, and worked very well. After the initial re-hydrating phase my grains very quickly multiplied and I was able to split the grains into 2 batches. Now I have water kefir ready every day! I usually feed each batch just like the instructions; ¼ cup sugar and some molasses. Some batches I forego the molasses and instead do a few trace mineral drops and a slice of lemon for a clearer tasty slightly citrus water kefir. Sometimes I will toss in an organic dried fig and other times some raisins (and then strain them out after 48 or so hours)I like to do a second ferment with my kefir, I strain out 4 cups of water kefir and add 1 cup of 100% fruit juice then I put this mixture into some flip top glass bottles and let them culture for 24 hours. This concoction is way better than soda and if you are trying to kick a soda habit I would definitely recommend it. The flavor possibilities are endless with this; I've tried cranberry, pomegranate, apple, blueberry, mixed berry, and coconut water.For the past two months my boyfriend and I have been drinking a quart a day of water kefir either right after the first fermentation or after the second fermentation. Our grains are still going strong and we haven't noticed any decline in quality.

I have made five batches and none of them are potent at all. I dehydrated the grains fir two days then made a batch with turbinado and lemon. The kefir is weak and lacks any fizz and the grains have not expanded or grown. Very disappointed

The water kefir grain crystals were probably fine, but I found the instructions difficult to understand. I ended up with mold and had to throw the whole thing away. I watched a video on the internet after my failure and it was much clearer. If I try again I will follow their instructions instead of the ones that came with the product.

Grains made the drink all right, but never multiplied, surprising.

I have been using my water kefir grains to make kefir soda for 4 four weeks. The first batch of soda was not so tasty. I expectted this because the grains need at least one cycle to rehydrate and start functioning properly. I have used fruit and organic fruit juice as flavoring for the second fermentation. It makes a great tasting bubbly soda I encourage everyone to try. I have a glass of kefir soda with my meals. One side benefit I found, at least for me, is I do not get hungry between meals.

They were fully active in a week, and by two weeks started multiplying!The included instructions are clear and you can tell they know what they're talking about. Very active and reproduce well.Started out with just the one packet and ended up with about 6 cups of grains in no time. Had to give some away which was great.
