Excellent product
We live in San Jose, California, and we recently got a 55" Sony flat-screen TV. The Sony stand is sturdy, but you can shake the TV and cause it to topple. Earthquakes tend to do this. This product is well-designed and implemented in my opinion. There are two sturdy nylon straps, each with attachments for the TV and for the table or wall, which are intended to be semi-permanently attached. Each strap is adjustable and has a quick-release buckle, like on backpacks, which are essential in case you need to move the TV to get behind it. Two lag bolts are supplied, for anchoring in wall studs, if you so choose. Mine hasn't been tested yet in situ, but I am confident it will work well. The instructions are very clear, and installation is easy. I highly recommend this product, it is worth $25. Suggestions: after installation, tighten the straps only enough to take up slack, don't put tension on the straps, as this will tend to eventually loosen the adhesive (probably after a few years). Also, be sure to put the quake grip putty under the base of the TV, as earthquakes tend to make things hop around.

Super easy to install and works like a charm
We purchased the Quake Hold! 4520 strap to protect my 3 year old son from our 65" DLP falling on him. I wanted something that was easy to install but held the TV solidly in place and the 4520 worked like a charm. Five minutes from the moment I opened the packaging until the TV was held firmly in place. The best part is the super strong adhesive that allows you to install without the use of tools and drilling into the TV stand. As a bonus it comes with puddy to place under the TV so, not only does it keep it from tipping, it also keeps it from sliding off of the stand. Definitely recommended! The chance of a threatening earthquake in Michigan are slim to none but I can certainly vouch for the quality!

Too bad Ready America isn't sold in Canada
This Ready America "Quake Hold" product was perfect for our flat screen tv at work. The tv sits on a high movable metal stand which is not very wide. As a result the 42" tv hangs over the sides and was somewhat unstable. Because the stand is movable we could not connect the tv to any wall so we needed some way to fix the back of the tv firmly to the stand. The safety straps that come with this product firmly adhere to the back of the tv and to the stand. The straps have a release which allows the tv to be detached from the stand if necessary. Otherwise the straps are firmly in place and the tv cannot not be knocked over should someone knock into either the tv or the stand. In other words this product does exactly what we needed and desrves a 5 star rating. The only complaint I have is the product is not available in Canada and the shipping and duty charges were more than the price of the product. However, even at that price the purchase was completely worthwhile.

Good product, but use the screws!
We've been using this strap for about 8 months. It secures our 46" flat screen to the media table on which it stands. We have a lot of confidence in its strength. The TV is near our toddler's play area, and we don't worry at all about it tipping sideways or falling forward. The adhesives and velcro that connect the straps to the TV are very strong. The straps have a nice buckle feature that makes them easy to tighten and loosen or disconnect if we want. The only concern that we have is with the adhesive on the piece that connects the straps to the media table. We chose to anchor the straps without using the screws provided initially (in order to avoid drilling holes in our table, if possible), but after about 6 months we found that adhesive too weak to hold on its own. It was a problem easily solved--we just drilled holes in our table and used the screws provided for extra stability. But I would not trust the product without using the anchor screws.

Easy to Install
I ordered these for both of my TV's after adopting a rambunctious kitten since I was worried he would knock them over. I was able to easily install the straps myself using the adhesive. There are also screw options for the part that attaches to the TV stand or wall. We haven't had any incidents to test them yet but they seem like they will be secure. I'm a bit worried the adhesive will ruin the TV stand but plan to leave them in place for several years.

Be safe, secure all tall or heavy furniture around children and pets!
Earthquakes have happened in almost every state, not just California. But this kit is also perfect for securing furniture that may be a falling hazard around children. This safety strap kit was very easy to install on the back of my new flat screen TV. I used the strap on the table instead of the wall. This prevents the TV from falling forward. To prevent the TV from falling backward, I used a little museum wax on the front legs of the stand. Be sure to secure dressers, hutches and book shelves. No more worries about grandchildren pulling them over by climbing on them. To remove the straps or the museum wax, use dental floss in a gentle back and forth movement. To remove any remaining sticky stuff, use a little glue remover like goo gone.

Exactly what I was looking for!
My 2 year old cat kept attempting to stand up both behind and in front of my flat screen TV… well right before Christmas she lost her balance and fell while holding onto the top of the screen and it came down with her. I was happy she didn’t get hurt, but I was NOT in the market for a new television. So, when I purchased the new TV I immediately started searching for something to secure it. When I had searched prior I couldn’t find anything where I didn’t need to drill holes in the walls, so when I came across this it really made my day! These VERY adhesive thin Velcro pads stick to the back of the TV then after you adjust the straps you stick the one Velcro end to the pads on the TV, and the metal plates with adhesive underneath stick to the surface of what the TV is on…in my case an outdated dresser. Let me tell you this TV is NOT moving! Lol I’m just so thankful to have found this product because I finally have peace of my mind that my mischievous kitty can’t cause further damage. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a no drill option for the sake of securing their TV, and the safety for both children & pets!

Well secured. My cat has been around my tv twice and it hasn't moved. Straps are great quality. Well worth the price to keep your flat screen safe.
