Do NOT buy Samsung Appliances
I purchased this Model from a big box store. I wish I had never looked at it. The ice makers in this, and many other, Samsung Fridge is absolutely designed to fail. As you can see from the picture, the ice gets caught between the tray and the wall of the icemaker. This happens several times a week. You then have to try to hack the ice out of that narrow space to unjam it (many fingers have been injured doing so). 2 days later it does the same thing. After some time of this happening it actually cracks the ice bucket and the fridge door will not close all the way. A new ice bucket is $150.This is a known issue that Samsung has received complaints about for years. Yet, they refuse to fix the issue or to back their products through warranty or otherwise. Once, Samsung has your money, you are on your own with their crappy product that you paid thousands for.At the same time, I purchased a Samsung gas range. On day one it malfunctioned - the ignitors on all the burners would constantly spark making this loud clicking sound (this was the day before Thanksgiving). They claimed they were going to fix it and then claimed they couldn't get the part. I had to fight with them for months to get a refund and then they short changed me on the purchase price and refused to haul away the defective range. Customer support could not have been more smug or unhelpful. upon doing some research, it was apparent that this was another design flaw that Samsung had been aware of for years but continued to sell anyway.I will never buy another Samsung product and neither should you.

Looks great. But a constant pain in the butt.
I've never had a fridge that took so much of my time just to maintain standard features. Like making ice. Junk!

broke down completely
We loved the ability to change one of the two freezer compartments into ordinary compartments for fruits and vegetables. We did not like the way the water squirted, splashing out of our glasses.Worst of all, we bought the refrigerator in June, 2017. The freezer suddenly stopped working in February, 2019. A repairman came and replaced a part. A few days later, the rest of the refrigerator stopped working (except for the blinking lights on the panel). The repairman contacted Samsung, they told him that there was a problem with the freon gas in the fridge. We decided to get a new refrigerator.

Love this Fridge
I've had this fridge for about 2 years. No flaws, works great, water dispenser is great and versatile. I love that I can have 2 freezers below OR usually I keep one for cold beverages and one as a freezer.

Poor quality
Purchased in Oct 2017. Warranty for most parts is 1 year, sealed refrigerating system warranty is 5 years. Mine failed 5 years and 2 months later. I liked it while it worked, but repairing is too expensive (PCB board is partially functioning and needs to be replaced, fan or evaporator cooling assembly with the fan needs to be replaced, and the cooling system is "on its way out and is about to fail"). Diagnostics by Samsung authorized repairman was $125.

Lost Hundreds of dollers from this junk
Sue Samsung. Our new fridge worked for exactly 4 hours then failed. There's a class-action lawsuit,

Keep a repairman employed - buy a Samsung refrigerator
Ice maker quit in less than 6 months. Freezer stopped after 18 months. Then the refrigerator. Repair man laughed when I asked if he saw many Samsung refrigerators. He said "Samsung refrigerators put my kid through college".

Maybe two stars??
I wished I would’ve written this long ago but I bought this refrigerator in 2016. Within a year the icemaker started freezing up. I had a local repair service replace the unit with one that Samsung provided for $300. I felt like it should have been free but I purchased it anyway. Within three months it was also freezing up. The repair person tried to contact Samsung service about it and was unsuccessful. Other than that I love the refrigerator but one star for faulty part and not making it right!
