Probonix Daily Liquid Probiotic Drops with E-Book, Children's 1 Month

Not effective for constipation in children.

My toddler started having severe eczema at 3 months old. Now at 3 years I could only control it with lotion multiple times a day and a humidifier on every night and he would still have flair ups. We started using this and his skin cleared up so quickly and has stayed clear even with the cold and dry winter. I LOVE this and will keep buying it!

I like the convenience of this probiotic. It doesn't have to be refrigerated and its liquid which is easy to administer to my 5 month old son. My son suffers from acid re flux which he takes meds for and I thought probiotics might help especially when I have to wean him off the meds. I also know the importance of beneficial bacteria for the immune system, brain health and for digestion. He has a little bit of a sensitive tummy and I thought they would help with that as well. I was worried that he might not have all the beneficial bacteria he needed to keep him healthy. The back label on my bottle said infants under 30 pounds dosage is 6 drops daily. I tried 2 drops which gave my son gas, some re flux and made him irritable. I noticed on their website, it says 1-2 drops for infants I think and so I dropped his dose to 1 drop. He had gas for about three days but I kept giving him the drops hoping he would get used to them and by the fourth day he didn't have any problems. I think it helped to lower the dose to one drop as well. I noticed that my son is calmer, even when he was temporarily irritable from the gas the first few days, he would later on be more calm and patient. II'm not sure if it has helped with his digestion or not, it seems as he is getting older, his digestion is maturing and he can handle more but I'm sure the probiotics could be helping with that as well.

We been using Probonix probiotic for my daughter since she was 5 weeks old now she is 16 months and we moved from probonix babies probiotic to toddler. I got her this provioticbecause she had a lot of gas and stomach discomfort despite being breastfed. I used to have to give her gas drops and gripe water multiple times a day. I did thorough research online what probiotic to get here because I only wanted the best. We are on special diet and were already using therapeutic grade probiotics for our family so I knew there is a big difference between brands out there. I discovered that probonix was the best liquid infant probiotic on the market. Within maybe 5 days of taking probonix my daughter lost all of her stomach discomfort and started sleeping through the night. Since starting probonix I didnt need to give her gas drops or gripe water again. At some point I even thought that my daughter was colic and this probiotic fixed all that. I put a drop of it in every breastmilk bottle or on the breast before breastfeeding. Now she is taking toddler probiotic few drops before every feeding. She is thriving and we are customers for life!

I’ve not used other probiotics on my child so I don’t have anything to compare the effectiveness against; however, it seems to be a good product. We chose it over other formulas because it included more strains and higher dosing per serving. We were instructed by our pediatrician to give probiotics to our 2 month old to help with a bad case of acid reflux. Our baby does spit up less 6 weeks after starting the probonix, though it could just be a coincidence with him being that much older. One thing we did notice is that rather than having a poopy diaper numerous times in a day our baby now has one or two big poops instead. This can mean more blow outs, but it has cut down on the number of wipes we use and general messes. Only downside is we were hoping our baby would take the drops directly on his tongue; however, he did not like the grape taste one bit so we have to mix it in a couple ounces of pumped milk in the morning. Not the end of the world, but would be nice to not have to require a bottle since we mainly breastfeed. Based on other reviews though, it seems like many kids do like the taste so it may not be a problem for other users. The powder formulas require adding to a bottle as well, so no big loss. Also, it’s great that we don’t have to worry about refrigerating it. Makes traveling easy!

I'm really impressed with this probiotic. My baby had developed horrible eczema all over her body. I believe her gut flora was ruined because of my being on a heavy duty anti-biotic when she was born. The skin is a great indicator of problems going on internally. I had started her on Floraboost by orthomolecular 2 months ago and never knew if it was really helping or not. I decided to research probiotic strains that specifically showed improvement for eczema and found five of the seven beneficial strains were listed in Probonix for children. I decided to take a chance and see if a liquid product that didn't need refrigeration would really work. I would give this to her before the last nursing session at bedtime (6 or 7 drops), granted she will spit up sometimes after that last feed, so there were days when I think this didn't get in her system. We are now on the 12th day and I realized when I was applying lotion after her bath that her skin is literally smooth, soft and normal color again. I went to Humarian's website and found they have some great info on their probonix products as far as how their product works and testing goes. I can't say I see any changes in her spitting up or bowel movements yet, but my main priority in purchasing this product was to get rid of her eczema and so far it did exactly that. I changed nothing else in our routine (diet, lotions, etc) to make sure I could tell if the product really made a difference and I have to say I am a believer!
