The Best iPhone 7 Plus Wallet Case You Can Buy!
Twelve Plus hits a homer with this one. It's the second BookBook case I've purchased, the first being an earlier model for my iPhone 5s back in 2014. Loved that case, too, but I wore-and-tore it apart, the inner hard shell into which the phone snapped finally coming apart from the outer leather to which it was fastened. This updated model makes several improvements, including a tougher spine, a removable hard inner shell that allows a user to dock the phone without having to remove it from the shell itself, and a set of fittings on the inside of the leather case onto which the hard shell slides securely, either fully or halfway, allowing for my favorite feature: the ability to fold the back of the leather case to prop the hard shell up as a landscape viewing stand. There are four credit card slots and one clear plastic-covered one with an opening in the center of the plastic for a thumb to press the contents of the slot upward for quicker access (I find myself having to pull my ID card upward from the top of the slot with one hand's thumb and forefinger while using my other thumb to push upward through the plastic window's opening for best results). And there's the cash pocket beneath the card slots, essentially turning your phone case into the wallet it is. The longer versions of the BookBook made for Apple's larger phones like the 7 Plus do a better job at holding bills than the ones for their smaller offerings, as you needn't fold a bill in half to store it as with the smaller BookBook cases. Don't get me wrong; the smaller cases are still awesome, granting the same features as the cases for larger iPhones. Having to fold a bill or two to get it into a smaller space isn't a major issue; the smaller cases can take care of it. I just like the fact that the model for my larger phone allows me to put more bills into the wallet pocket while still being able to close the case. My only wish for Twelve South is that their next BookBooks are made with slightly wider spines to account for cash and card volume in the wallet case when filled and shut so that when you do close the thing, it's not keeping the case from doing so flatly, evenly with the phone's screen. It's a minor worry, however, and not worth me giving shade to this product. One last item: the quality of the leather of the BookBook is superb. It's been made to look aged, but it's both strong and supple and, as Twelve South says, it's meant to be scuffed-up with use to enhance its appearance as an old book. But, if you scratch it — and you will — and you want the scratch gone, it's wonderfully easy and quick to buff out. Oh — one last last thing: the back of the leather case, as I've said, has now been made to fold into a device stand. Very handy. What you'll find, though, if you — like me — are familiar with an older model, is that there is no longer a hole for the phone's rear camera lenses (the 7 Plus has two lenses, you know; they take up more real estate) but a cutout in the corner edge of the case's leather that goes a little more than halfway into the width of the case, to where the leather folds to accommodate the stand feature. The newer phone models' lens placement necessitate this as does the location of the case fold to ensure structural integrity. So, with that, the old "old book" look has taken a little hit, but the improvements make up for this. If you're looking for a great wallet case made of real leather white a greater function than that of something that just holds your iPhone, this is it. I counted the days for it to be released after I bought my phone and have been happy with it since I sprung it from its shipping box. It's a great-looking case, useful, and — if I might add — it smells amazing!

Improvements, but I look forward to a revamp.
First of, I would like to say, I love my case, and am so happy that the debate I had over the price ended with a purchase. I will definitely buy again for my next phone. I recommend this to everyone, and get compliments on it often. Friends say, it suits me. :) That said, these were my concerns.I owned a book book many iPhone generations ago, one where the main concern was there was no hole for the camera. That large error has been corrected. However, I am not sure I am happy with the complete loss of leather on the corner, rather than having a hole punched out. Just looking at it in the package immediately made me feel vulnerable for that corner of the phone. I have yet to have any drop issues, and it being unprotected as it is. I hope to continue that trend, but it is worrying a bit. Second, I live in a hot place, and as such, plastic sometimes melts when left in sunlight. I don’t like the fact that the plastic where my DL is, is now somewhat imprinted onto my screen protector, I wish it was leather, or maybe had a soft cloth protector built in. I’m glad I have a screen protector, so it’s just a few dollars to replace if it becomes an issue. But my statement stands. I love it!! Add leather back to the camera corner, lose the plastic, and I’m a customer for life. Thanks!

Looks good and love the quick release aspect
I have been using a "Book" style case for my phone for years (this is my third phone and third case). This is the first one that has a quick release to take the phone out and I LOVE IT. With the wireless charger I found that the phone is more secure and charges faster without the case...and so being able to remove the bulk of the case is a simple slide out move is great...I can also take the phone without the case but still have a bit of protection as well. The case is slightly bigger than the previous one (without the slide out aspect) I have not found this to be an issue. The case remains closed when placed on a table and looks pretty good. The one issue that I have with this case is durability of the leather finish: the gilt rubs off (from the first time I used it) and there are scuff marks on the leather. After a few weeks I found that it simply looks like an antique book and does not really bother me...but bear that in mind.I will buy it again.

My Favorite iPhone Case Ever!
This is my fourth BookBook and it is the best quality so far. Unlike previous BookBooks for the iPhone, this one uses smooth leather (not suede) for the interior pockets. I have the black case for my jet black iPhone 7 and the look is stunning. The three card slots easily accommodate four cards (two cards in the top slot) plus my drivers license in the fourth slot (the one with the clear plastic window. I have only a couple of minor concerns: (1) The front flap does not lie flat against the iPhone. This may improve with time and use. It may also be due to the plastic case being a bit deeper than that used for the iPhone 6s. (2) The back of the case has a cut out to accommodate the camera and flash. While this allows one to use the camera without having to remove the phone from the case, it also does not provide any protection for the camera lens. For me it is an acceptable trade off. As with previous BookBooks, I applied some Nikwax to the the outer leather surfaces to provide protection against water and premature wear. I love the look and feel of the BookBook case and I find it easy to use my phone in the case.

Clips on shell break
Visually beautiful as have been all previous BookBook wallets. However, it arrived with broken clips attaching the shell to the cover. A group of people bought this as a gift for me and I wanted them to see how lovely it is so I haven't returned it, but would advise anyone to think twice. This is not the same quality as previous versions (for iPhones 4 and SE)

Perfect for Apple iPhone
Yet again I’ve brought another book book cover this time for the iPhone XR in its stylish, elegant, way in the way it presents it’s self. This case is a favourite of mine and can be placed anywhere many times people have easily been fooled and took it for a bible! Small book! When really it’s your phone so no way would anybody want to steal it! 5 card holders with one ID card! It can also be used as a wallet too and easily be fitted in to your pocket where your off to a meeting or going down the pub this case rocks any other case I’ve seen ever! I should know having brought 4 for my older iPhones I’ve a book book case for my ipad air3 too! Very strong and holds your iPhone XR To Perfection!

In no way at all worth the asking price, fabric covering phone holder already peeled upon opening
After spending many hours agonising over whether to buy this, considering the significant numbers of negative reviews , I decided to bite the bullet and spend £54.60 on it. Unfortunately, I returned it the following day as I was very underwhelmed by its appearance (did not seem top quality at all), the fabric covering the plastic phone holder had already started to peel, and the stitching looked to be of poor quality even though 12south said they had updated the card holders. 2 stars only because people say it ages well but I wasn't risking £54 to see whether that was true. Really upsetting, as I had wanted one for so long and think it's a fantastic idea. Just simply not worth the price tag, you just do not get the sense that it is a premium product. I highly advise against buying.

Not as good as previous versions
Not as good quality as the previous ones we bought for other iPhone models, the cover doesn't sit as well and stands up a bit, this may resolve over time, the leather had more scratches than normal but my husband is happy enough with it
