It has a very strong scent while I use it for burning oil. However, it burns quickly but the scent lasts a long time after burning is over. My mom says the aroma waters her eyes. I love peppermint scents!

I ordered this 4 oz bottle of oil with a couple of other oils - it arrived quickly and in a great box - look at my photos to see. Really well packed, with a separate glass dropper, nested in a separate section of the box so it arrived safely and unbroken. Nice attention to detail. ***Note: I included photos of the packaging, there is a Eucalyptus oil in the photo in the box, just note that the Peppermint shipped the exact same way***** It was bottled in a nice amber glass bottle so the oil was protected from the sun and UV rays that can damage essential oils. Nice strong, thick, quality bottle. The Japanese Peppermint oil is 100% premium Mentha arvensis, really high quality oil for only $14.94 for 4 oz. This oil smells fresh, very minty, but a little lighter and sweeter than regular peppermint. I absolutely love it, and am using it in a few different ways: I add 3 drops to my plant sprayer to keep insects at bay around doorways and also on my plants. I add a few drops to my bath oil for a sweet muscle reliever, especially when mixed with Eucalyptus and Lavender, which I also bought in my order. I add it to my diffuser for a quick lift! Add it to massage oil ( just a little bit) for a nice, tingly sensation. Add a few drops to a roller bottle of carrier oil and keep it handy for a quick pick-me-up. Japanese peppermint is a great compliment to so many other oils - lemon, orange, tea tree, bergamot, and so many more. And if you’re more adventurous, you can try making a Peppermint lip balm or lotion. I’ll definitely buy this oil from SVA again. Great quality and great price.

I love Peppermint. I grow many varieties. After reading several reviews, I thought I'd try Japanese Peppermint essential oil, which is actually a relative of the Peppermint we all know and love. It has a "cleaner" smell than it's American counterpart and is considerably stronger. It's strong enough to clear your sinuses all the back to kindergarten. I put a couple drops on my hand, rub my hands together, then put my hands right up to my face and inhale through my nose. A word of caution: If used as I do, this EO could potentially make you see stars...especially in the shower. IT'S THAT STRONG! Eucalyptus wishes it was this strong. In fact, I rarely use it now that I have Japanese Peppermint EO. I use mixed into my unscented shampoo. It has been great for my hair and skin...and it opens the sinuses a bit even when super diluted. Again...use with caution! It's considerably stronger than the Peppermint you're used to. You have been warned. All that being said, this is easily my favorite essential oil, and what I received from SVA is a premium grade strength...and I find that to be quite rare with larger sized bottles. I received a dropper as well, and the packaging was better than what I have received from other vendors. The expiration date was a little over 2 years away. This revue was unsolicited and is my honest assessment of the product I received. I paid full price.

Use on cotton balls to keep fresh scent in house trash cans. Ideal to keep pests away.

Love love love this oil. Have been using it for years. The other peppermint oils don’t compare to this brand. I use it to help me cool off when I am outside and also as a mosquito repellent. I mix it in my homemade hair and body oil. This oil is so versatile and a very good price for what you get .
