If at First You Don't Conceive: A Complete Guide to Infertility from One of the Nation's Leading Clinics Paperback – March 16, 2010

I was an RN coming back to nusing after taking time off to raise my 2 girls and was lucky enough to be called in for an interview at CCRM. After my interview I was overwhelmed because it is such a complex specialized field. I have a trauma and general/ ob gyn surgery PACU bacground. I wanted to learn more about what I was getting into. I found the book easy to read. I liked how it was written with specific examples of couples and their difficulty to conceive on their own. I also found it helpful to have a better understanding of the psychological aspect of the situation.I hope review is helpful but it is difficult to be as objective since I am an RN. That is why I gave a rating of 4 stars. At least flip through it at a bookstore or check it out from your local library. That is what did and then I bought it and still refer to it sometimes.I will tell you that many of our patients buy this book and bring it with them to appointments.I am lucky because I now work at CCRM and see amazing people from all over the US and abroad. I wish nothing but the best for any couple struggling with this problem.

There is a lot of misleading information online about infertility treatment. I highly recommend reading this book and obtaining a good understanding of the basics. In addition, thanks to Dr.Schoolcraft, I was able to conceive successfully during my first IVF cycle.

Excellent book to read before you begin infertility treatments. I wish I had read his book years ago. We had 3 unsuccessful IVF cycles before switching to Dr. Schoolcraft. He is definitely a leader in the infertility field and included extremely useful information in this book.

Good info, tough read tho. Lots of good into and tips. Glad I purchased it off here and didn't pay full price.

I'm a patient at CCRM and loved reading this book before my first appt. The emotional chapter was helpful.

This is a good concise book about the process and options. It helped the visit to the doctors office go better and I think I understood more about the entire process as a result of reading this first.

This book is just OK. I noticed a few spelling errors and even a repeated paragraph. This book however offers lots of great key points though.

Book was in great condition. No tears, no highlights, no pages missing, etc. Book looked pretty close to brand new.

Very good book into all the options of conception both clinical and alternative - definitely worth a buy
