Really lovely to have this way to recharge my macbook air - felt shafted when having to pay apple the richest company in the world extortion for a recharger which lasted around a year. This is a great alternative - thanks Nuoo for getting this up for us poor mac users.

For reasons I'm not sure I understand, I managed to fry the charger for my mid-2012 Macbook Pro. Discovering that a replacement charger costs £79 came as something of a shock (even for Apple), given that you can buy a laptop for less than twice that price. Nuoo came to the rescue.The charger is clearly well made and apart from missing the Apple logo brand looks identical to the original. The 3-pin plug is of the removable, duck-head design, meaning that I can swap it for a 2-pin plug when travelling to other European countries. Everything comes neatly packaged in the cardboard box and as well as a velcro cable-tidy, there is also a silicone(?)/rubber cover that slips over the largest part of the adapter.At less than £20, the Nuoo charger is reasonably priced and it works just as well as the 'genuine' model. I'm a very happy customer.

With this cheap copy of Apple's original product, you'll plug in your macbook and find that the cursor immediately starts moving erratically across the screen, not smoothly (as it should do) in line with your finger on the touchpad. Unplug it, and the cursor moves smoothly again. Plug it in, and the cursor is immediately erratic. This product fails at the first hurdle and is a waste of £20. For all those frustrated Apple customers looking for a replacement MagSafe Power Adaptor, don't do what I did and buy this! Instead, bite the bullet and shell out £70/£80 for an original Apple MagSage Adaptor, available in all good Apple shops. And because they're quite fragile (at the place where the cable joins the plug), if you can afford it, it's probably worth having two or three of them, so that you can move from place to place with your macbook and be able to plug it in without constantly unplugging and plugging in the adaptor.
