Great antenna with fantastic SWR out of the box
Great antenna with fantastic SWR out of the box! I like that it folds down when needed.

Great antenna that won't break the bank.
Love my new SBB-5. SWR 1.3 right out of the box so no need to set. The F/O works great, it's really well made and the price doesn't break the bank. Thank you, comet!

Works
Works. I like the sbb7 better. More gain but the sbb5 does perform ok.

Good-sized Dual Band Vertical
Excellent gain on VHF and UHF. Ad claims 1.5 swr. However, the antenna seems to be maximized at the low end of 2 meters, and around 458 mhz on the 70cm side. While I would rather see it optimized at the high-transmit repeater input frequencies, the difference between 1.5 and .5 really doesn't hurt much, and being a dual-bander at the length of it (38 inches), there will, of necessity, be compromises. Antenna folds over for driving into the garage or under low tree coverage. I'm going to use it as it is -- fooling around with it could screw the whole thing up. Put it smack in the middle of the car roof for best SWR and radiation pattern.

Too short for my use
Not my main antenna, I will use it as a spare

Solid Antenna
Pretty impressed with this. I use a 50w mobile as a base station in my basement, and on good days I can pick up repeaters 40 miles away. If I got this antenna outside and higher up, I'd really have some range.
