I apologize my review is comparative since LOVE these (I got 2 different but same ‘looking) ones on here; from different makers....So I’m comparing the 2 products:one is “the shorter one”, & THIS ONE is the “longer strand” w/100 lights.the shorter one has much better light/pattern movement options & can look really cool like a crackling fire when on red, it also has a much better responding remote tho the remotes ‘appear’ nearly identical. Only labels of buttons are different on remotes. One of them does 4/6/12hr timer, while the shorter strand only starts at 6hr. which is a small bummer as a nightlight...but I greatly prefer it’s funtionability. I do prefer the longer $trand option- but the length made it nightmare to run it through what I needed. So🤷🏼‍♀️The short strand ALSO has more defined COLORS [greenish-blues & PINK!], though some basic [true green & blue] colors are the same on both products & they ‘can’ match up somewhat 😕 on those.The long strand does have something somewhat of a blue-*purple [pink button]...while the other strand does a true pink/magenta-ish light, it also doesn’t change at all for a few of the color buttons, and doesn’t make anything near the representative color of the rest 😞...they are just for show lol. After seeing video reviews 👇🏼 maybe I recieved a defective unit😕.Neither strand made any sort of true WHITE; I imagine thts impossible w/a RGB LED setup...u would need a RBGWhite.The longer strand has a very nice, simplistic CLEAR USB plug end that is small, unnoticeable, and not bulky (this may have something to do w/the weaker remote response). While the short unit has a (clear plastic) somewhat big[lots of batteries!], waterproof BATTERY pack option [attached] in addition to usb plug! This makes it more bulky/noticeable than its competition I bought, but it has a nice silicone-ish push button ON that pack-so it can b turned ON & go thro colors if the remote is lost. idk if there is a way to turn it OFF w/tht button-most likely-but I need to look at the brief directions as it doesn’t turn of after cycling through the colors.One of the 2 came with an unexpected EXTRA remote 🤨 read into that however u like...sorry I can’t b sure now which it was- I’m guessing the longer strand.The short strand has wording on the remote that FITS what the lights are doing 🤷🏼‍♀️ Like flashing/chasing etc....the other one has the great timer options (idk if either’s timer works as suggested), but the action words are different- and the lights don’t do anything CLOSE to what the button says🤣; and only actually seem to respond to 2 of them🤷🏼‍♀️ One of which is “fade”? (looks more like flashing/slow strobe), and “strobe” does nadda... this made me wonder if the remote was wired wrong by accident. It doesn’t do the chase feature at all either- but the short strand does, along w/a twinkle (& looks like the fire when lights are bunched up).Short strand: the FLASH, STROBE, & FADE cycle through ALL colors & can’t be set on just 1. Also it remembers the last setting & will return to it when turned on!The remotes will make the other brand unit change color sometimes too🙄...[That being said- they’ll probably turn on my remote candles in the other room🤔(like my tv remote ‘Volume ‘ button does).]This can be a hassle, I noticed they will both turn on RED if the button is pushed on one & possibly directed at the other also. They r on opposite sides of an 11ft rm...it isn’t ‘much’ of an issue usually (and can be corrected easily with proper/closer remote directing) because *they mostly respond only when the remote is pointed directly at the unit* it’s not a huge deal. Also note: If it’s dark it’s nearly impossible to see what button your pushing which stinks if going for a non ‘color’/timer button.Over all- it’s pretty clear🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m eager to order more of the shorter strand😊 they r really fun/cool; I will just get multiple sets...and search shorter ones for placement decor around the house that DOESNT have to have batteries!🤩🤞🏻Hopefully the long strand lasts, it won’t be fun to undo them from my daughters tree🤦🏼‍♀️Hope this review was helpful!? I believe 🤔Note: if I had only ordered this, it’s a perfectly ‘fine’ product but doesn’t do what’s on the remote- so some disappointment there. I was just thrilled to just find fairy lights that weren’t BATTERY operated, as that seems to be all that’s easily found in stores. Thankfully there are numerous options in here! i💚AMZ

They have some cool functions but the "strobe" is slow like a fade, and I wish the lights would display more then one color at a time.

I love these. I used them last Christmas, and since I bought two strands, I saved one to use every day. The timer feature is great. I put them in this big, metal lantern that came with lights, but they died, so I tried these lights with it. Much better. For one thing, I prefer the usb cord. I usually use a brick to adapt it so I can plug it into a regular outlet. I highly recommend them.

I bought these as a replacement for the old-school lights we had strung up onto our decorative bamboo inside. We got so many more feet for the money and so much more light! The timer function is great! They go on and off according to our settings and easily turn back on when we’re still up and want the ambient (blue...that’s been out go-to but the other colors are lovely as well!). We seldom use the remote but, when we do, it responds well from across the room and through obstacles. So far, we are very happy with these little lights and, for the price, won’t mind replacing them, especially since we can recycle them in our local recycle bin, if necessary. They use far less energy than the other lights we had and also give off no heat, so we’re not concerned about our decorative (fake) bamboo setting alight in flames (always a bonus in my book). Inexpensive, lovely, and totally what we wanted!

Great value for your money. Very nice length and colors are very pretty. The lights do change and turn on/off when you use a TV remote in the same room! Very weird. Sometimes I also notice that the timer isn't always correct. Other than those two things...I love them and will buy more in the future.

I was excited to receive lights. Plugged them in and all the functions on the remote worked and I thought I was pleased with the item. I began to use them for the project I'd bought them for, and after two hours use, 2/3 of the functions of the lights would not work. They seemed to cut off right when the white lights flashed on. So I really do not know what caused the problems. I was going to return them but I was half way through my project and just decided to keep them even though most of the functions did not work. So 3 stars for excellent delivery time. If I were going to buy another set, I would not choose these.

Love these lights! It's so nice to have the remote and be able to easily changes the colors. The timer is really cool and it's a great addition to any space.
