Golf Cart Rear Seat Safety Grab Bar with Trailer Hitch for Club Car EZGO Yamaha

It wasn't as solid and sturdy as I had hoped.

First I like that this was a combo package. It arrived on time and in very good packaging. No damage at all. It came with the hardware to install each piece by itself or as a unit. I was able to install it by myself with zero problems. The instructions are not there. I had to look at the picture and piece the pieces together myself. It was that big a deal but I wished I had done a video for those that might need it. My only complaint as well as other reviewers is the hollow tubing and single corner bracket. Other reviews stated that the screws would crush the bars and not tighten up. I feel like it needs double corner angle pieces or bushings on the screws for the single piece. I had an extra 40 oz stanley tumbler hard plastic straw that I cut into my own "bushings" and placed them inside the tube which allowed the screw to go thru and take some of the pressure while tightening. It worked for me just fine. Of course metal bushings would have Bern best but I didn't want to stop and go to the hardware store. I'm a DIY'er my nature. My screws tightened up and only had a slight intention in the tubing. You can see the clear homemade bushings and slight invention in the photo. All in all its a nice set up and just gives passengers that extra support when getting on and off the cart.

Good instructions. As advertised. We'll worth the $$$.

Install was very simple and the hitch component is fine but the grab handle is flimsy. I tightened the bolts to the point where they started to compress the steel tube and now I would really say it is more for looks than structural.

Ordered this for my club car precedent. Shipped me the updated version, which was not what was pictured nor what I wanted. I contacted them and I heard back immediately. They then sent me the correct model, and told me not to worry about sending back the first one they sent me! Every communication I had with them was responded to within 24 hours. So impressed with this company. 5 stars for sure. I gave the item 5 stars overall because of my experience with them, but they could provide higher quality bolts with heads that don't strip so easily. I got it on tightly, but it would have been easier with better bolts. Everything else felt sturdy and of quality. Love this combo package!

You can't even tighten up the bolts to make it sturdy enough to pull on without feeling like you're going to bend this bar. As far as using it for a grab bar it won't last long. Buyer beware do not purchase you will not be happy.

REGARDING THE REAR SEAT GRAB BAR, NICE EXCEPT THERE ARE NO BUSHINGS TO PUT IN BETWEEN THE SQUARE/TUBULAR STEEL, SO WHEN YOU TIGHTEN DOWN THE NUTS/BOLTS, IT CRUSHES THE METAL AND NEVER TOTALLY TIGHTENS, SO I WOULD RECOMMEND MAKING/BUYING A BUSHING TO KEEP THE METAL FROM CRUSHING.REGARDING THE TOW HITCH, IT WAS ABOUT 1 INCH TOO LONG, SO THE BOLT HOLES WOULD NOT LINE UP AND ABOUT 1 INCH HAD TO CUT FROM THE REAR OF THE HITCH SO IT WOULDN'T HIT THE BACK PLASTIC BUMPER. FURTHER MORE THE DIRECTIONS TELL YOU TO DO STEP ONE AND INSTALL CROSS SUPPORT BRACKETS THEN SKIP TO STEP 3 OR 4. DO NOT INSTALL THEM IF YOU HAVE THE GRAB BAR, JUST CUT 1 INCH OFF THE BACK OF THE HITCH AND INSTALL WITH THE 4 SHORTER BOLTS. IN THE END, IT WORKS GREAT, BUT BE PREPARED TO MODIFY WHAT THEY SEND YOU AND TO INSTALL BUSHINGS TO KEEP THE METAL FROM CRUSHING ON THE GRAB BAR.I WOULD BUY AGAIN, BUT IT WOULD BE NICE IF THE MANUFACTURER/SELLER WOULD MAKE THE CORRECTED CHANGES TO WERE IT WOULD BE A NON ALTERED INSTALLATION.
