Good kit. The masonry bit is necessary for drilling into brick. But be aware that drilling into masonry is an incredibly slow, painstaking process unless you have a hammer drill. It took me at least 90 minutes to drill one 1" hole into a very solid 90 year old brick. And I had to also use a chisel and hammer to simulate what a hammer drill (which I do not own) would have done.
