my water filter cover has always been tough getting off to change. Had the old short plasticwrench that was a struggle. With this metal wrench , it is so much easier getting off the cover to change the filter.Long handle give the leverage it needs

Metal Water Filter Housing Wrench Worked Perfectly
My previous plastic water filter housing wrench broke when I tried to use it earlier this year. This metal wrench fit perfectly and with the longer handle I was able to remove the filter housing very easily on the first try. It worked way better than I was expecting after breaking the plastic one with zero rotational movement on the housing early.

That filter was on there pretty tight. This wrench should last a long time!

It's great.
The clear housing was stuck. Tried to use hair blower but it's not moved. I ordered this and easily opened it. If it's reasonable tight, the plastic wrench should work. But O-ring was wore out and water gush out, so previous owner tighten it very hard to stop water leak. It's great product and fast shipping. By the way, the size is 5.93 or 6 inch.

Wrong size ID listed
The inside diameter of the wrench I received is exactly 6”, not 5.7” as listed. My filters are the newer Big Blue housing, so this wrench is too big to work. That’s why I bought this wrench, since it was the only one listed as 5.7” I.D.

Makes short work of stuck filter housings
After thirty years I ran into a stuck filter housing. I broked a doubled-up plastic wrench, but it would not budge. This made simple work of it. Recommended!
