MAPEI Ultracolor Plus FA Powder Grout - 10LB/Bag - 5220 - Eggshell (Formerly White 00)

This does set pretty fast. I only mixed 3 cups grout/1 cup water, as I judged this to be the amount I could work with (as a first time grouter) before it set. I used very cold water, mixed with a paint mixer (not a power tool), and went to work. It works well and sets really hard/fast. Though I probably had a good 20-30 minutes preparing the grout as I did to work with it before the batch started hardening up in my mixing container. While I think it's not best practice, I did add additional water when it started hardening up to allow me to use the full batch. For a lighter color like Eggshell, I don't think the effect on color consistency really matters or shows up doing this. For a darker or less white-ish color, it might. As this is my first grouting project, I can't really compare this to other grouts. But I can say it dries really hard and the haze it leaves is manageable to clean up after, though it takes some effort. The fact that this group is pretty stain resistant and doesn't need to be sealed are big pluses too.

Sheesh! Who knew picking a grout would be so complicated. This is a great light neutral white color that looks amazing with my riad natural white tile!

The product is fine. However, the bag was broken open in the box!

Best grout product on the market

THIS WHITE IS NOT WHITE! It is actually a yellowish color. If you want white….buy AVALANCE…IT IS ACTUALLY WHITE!!!!!

I ordered 4 different colors of this brand of grout. I took a Mosaic Workshop in England and this is really lovely work for anyone who is doing mosaics - works inside and out and it's wonderful quality.
