American DJ Supply Mega Bar 50 RGB LED Lighting

I bought this product and used it once in 2012. The light worked but the output was so low it couldn't be seen from a distance, in a 300 seat theater. I put it in storage and tried to use it again today. It worked for three minutes then stopped after I heard a loud pop come from the unit. Now only two of the 50 bulbs blink very slowly. I looked online for the operation manual to see if there's any information about what to do if this happens, but there is no explanation for this problem. I can't believe a product with less than an hour of usage would stop working. By the way, I checked the fuse and it was not blown. Apparently, something is faulty in the control unit.My recommendation would be to do more research to find a product with a higer reliability rating. I paid $140 for my unit in 2012 and I see the price has come down. The product is poor.

Lots of options as far as colors and flashing but I can only use it for smaller, darker venues. I have to set the fixture on something behind me to throw the most wash...love the size, easy to pack around. Cord is very short

The Light is great in here....probably because I bought the American DJ Mega Bar 50. The Color wash feature was primarily why I bought this but I'm looking forward to purchasing more and utilizing the Master/Slave features as well. I usually bought Chauvet....but I'm leaning towards ADJ after this.

Pros:-Bright enough to easily light up an entire room-Small enough to carry around comfortably from place to place-Solid build quality and design-The different color LEDs are interspersed so each color blends well-Has the features I think anyone would need. My favorite is the sound activation feature, which works very well.Cons:-Cord is a little shortOverall this is a smashing piece of party equipment and you won't be disappointed.

Finally, and easy light to work with any DMX controller.....Way to go.

This thing is awesome. Comes with a remote too. Just what I expected it to be.

We played one gig where it was too dark to even see the fingerboard on our guitars... we shopped and decided to try a pair of these for our 2-5 man band. They are simply FANTASTIC. Lightweight, so bright our bass player wore sunglasses, a wide range of colors and effects. I especially love the blue only, and the sound-activated chasing effect. Makes for both a great wash behind you and a bright source in front of you. I slaved the pair with a microphone cable - it was 50 feet long and absolutely no problems. That was way less expensive than buying DMX cables to do the same thing. And having the remote control was very handy for changing up effects between songs. I L-O-V-E it!
