Works as expected. The box was heavier than expected, but comes packaged well overall. Decent price for what it is. Good sound quality. Like that it comes with software.

I got nervous before the interface was delivered because I wasn't sure it would work with iPad. I realized I didn't stop to check that factor...Lo & Behold, iPad saw it immediately and this little interface rocks!! Clean, small, portable, well built. I have had Motu, M-Audio, Focusrite ... But I wanted something portable, small, affordable and simple. Don't need all the bells & whistles for what I'm trying to do. I needed 4 outs though.. 2 for stereo track, one for drum loop and one for click. This little guy does the job perfectly!! Wish I could get an endorsement with this company!! Love it!!

This is a replacement for the retired wave terminal 2496. I’ve given this four stars instead of five, due to product specs incorrectly, indicating that this is also 2496. It’s actually 2448. The great thing about it it’s portable and seems to work pretty good, just remember this uses RCA Jack’s, instead of quarter inch phono plugs.

This is one awesome little unit. I use it with my laptop. This unit gives great sound reproduction. I also use it to interface my TV, DVD recorder, Directv, makes it great to switch between inputs without having to unplug and replug to hear a particular piece of equipment (the main reason I do this is I use headphones all the time as I am hard of hearing, and I want to hear everything thru my laptop which I use as a desktop with extended monitor, keyboard, & mouse). I have a small preamp for my phonograph and it has an extra in and out which gives me an extra plug to the ESI unit. I would highly recommend this to anyone, and the drivers now work with Window 10 as well as previous versions of Windows. I live in the country and am very likely to get hit by lightning thru the power lines and I am afraid I might lose this unit so I am ordering another one tomorrow as a backup, as this has quickly become the heart of my system and I am afraid they may quit making these.Nov 2018, It has been 2 years since I last reviewed this product. It is still working awesome with my laptop/(desktop). Don't know what I would do without it. The second one I ordered still sits in the box. Never have needed to use it. I may give it away as a present. I do not think I will ever need it. Other than a power surge or some such thing, there is not much that can go wrong with this unit. I still continue to highly recommend this unit if you have need of a great sound card, but no room to put it inside of whatever type PC you are using.

This is one of the very few audio interface that support internal loopback (internal routing) within this price range.However, I noticed that the the headphone jack produces constant and quite audible static noise when no music is playing. I didn't have this problem when I used the Scarlett Solo audio interface.

Seeing as this only has one review so far, and an undeserved 1-star at that, here's my take. The Maya22 is well worth the money and has great sound. Important for me is that I can easily hook up RCA cables for both recording and playback, avoiding those dinky little 3.5mm jacks so common otherwise. You do need two mono TRS-to-cinch adapters for the playback side, but that's not a big deal.The manual, alas is pretty sparse and could do a better job explaining the ESI software control panel - luckily it's mostly a straightforward affair anyway, and not hard to figure out.One glitch I've encountered is that sometimes, after waking my Windows 10 64-bit PC from sleep mode, there's no sound from the Maya22. Toggling the 'mute' button a couple times in the control panel brings it back right away - looks like a software bug, fortunately a harmless one. (I might otherwise have deducted one star, but the ESI is still close to perfect for my needs.)I have not encountered the constant static noise that was mentioned by the first reviewer. The Maya22 is dead silent unless asked to make sound. :)

Passage d'Apple vers Windows n'était pas facile. Pour copier les anciens enregistrements DAT sur un PC, il fallait une interface capable de convier les signaux SPDIF vers USB pour les copier sans modification digitale à un PC Windows10. Il fait correctement le travail. Je n'ai pas testé les autres options que cette interface offre.

Ho acquistato questa scheda audio per il broadcast audio per un'emittente web. Sono rimasto notevolemte stupito dalla qualità audio che sprigiona. L'unico "problema" (se lo possiamo definire tale) è che la qualità del suono si ferma solo fino ai 44.1kHz, e non ho trovato in nessun modo l'aumento fino ai 96kHz come da descrizione del prodotto. Per il resto, suona bene, ha le giuste entrate e uscite per fare un sano broadcast audio in streaming (consigliato però fino ai 192kbps). Consigliato.

A parte chi crede di poter sentire gli ultrasuoni, una scheda 48Khz 24bit è eccellente per qualsiasi uso.Come una scheda audio progettata anni fa non può essere desueta per le orecchie di oggi: sempre da 20Hz-20Khz (ad essere bambini di 3 anni...) sentiamo.Questa scheda è basata sul chipset Tenor TE7022L, supportata sia in WDM che in ASIO su Windows ma soprattutto perfettamente usabile sotto Linux (io la uso sotto Raspberry OS).Avevo bisogno di una scheda con ingressi/uscite TOSLINK/SPDIF ad un costo contenuto, e l'ho trovata. Anche la parte analogica è ottima (in linea con la MAYA44 prima serie dell'ESI che uso da 16 anni interrottamente), al pari di schede da migliaia di euro degli anni '90.

I will be travelling around next year and need some portable music production gear that is durable, robust and simple. This is the perfect Audio interface for travel. It is housed in a solid metal case, has no buttons or swtiches which can get damaged in transit and is super lightweight - could easily fit in the back pocket of your jeans.In addition to this it is bus powered so will not require an external 5v power supply.My search for a new audio interface only started because Roland stopped making Drivers for my old interface that will work with the latest version of OS X. So this was something I wanted to be sure wouldnt be an issue with a new purchase. I was delighted to find out that this device requires NO DRIVER downloads to work with MAC OS. Just plug in and its good to go.This was not made clear on the website so hopefully this information finds people who need it well.I wont be recording any audio through the inputs so I can't really comment on this function.For a travel sized interface as a means to run your active monitors its the best option for sure.
