We use this product in a marine environment because it is made of quality stainless steel. It would be tremendously improved if the key was also made completely of brass ..... a small but important part is made of regular steel , it rusts and then fails . I hope the manufacturer reads these reviews ! It would also be very helpful if multiples all keyed alike could be purchased. small changes would make this product GREAT.

It is stainless steel
The 5/8 sleeve is a tiny bit short. This leaves a gap at one end. It should be a little longer to fit flush. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

TOO short
when this item arrived, I was very excited as it appeared very sturdy and well made. Unfortunately, the bolt is 2-3mm too short for me to lock the end piece on essentially making it useless.

Not So Premium, but ok.
Item is not so 100% stainless steel.Item is rusted and looks worn out after a few months. But it still works.

Well made
Works great and looks clean when installed. I really like the fact that it will fit both sizes of pins with the use of adapter. Lock has nice cover to keep the elements out.

Thank you for purchasing our universal receiver lock.DO NOT BUY AGAIN DO NOT BUY!I had it for just over mouth and started to rust and after contacting the company they responded below.Due to the extreme harsh environments that the locks operate in, care and maintenance of the lock is of the utmost importance. Not only should be the lock be regularly lubricated but should be kept cleaned and free from grit, salt, wet and road grime.TRIMAX warrants products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials when operated under normal conditions and maintained properly, excluding chrome, stainless steel or any other finishes.Unfortunately, it sounds like your lock was not maintained, we are unable to provide you with a free replacement under our warranty.The product is not 100% premium Stainless Steel!
