This desk works well as intended.The minus 1 star comes from two cons to owning this desk:1. One big thing that the information does not make clear is that in order to adjust the height of this desk, you have to use their L-shaped allen wrench (which is included) to loosen a sliding lock mechanism and adjust it to the desired height. You have to re-do this every time you want a different height. This is a terrible design if you need to re-size the height frequently. If you are only going to stick with one particular height, this is not an issue.2. My other BIG misgiving is that this desk is not ideal for use by travelers who have to move it around frequently. There is no handle bar. The unit is pretty heavy and has sharp edges, so if you carry this desk like the girl in the stock photo, your fingers will hurt. I'm using this as I type this review. Overall it's a good value; it's one of the less expensive models you'll see on Amazon and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. See my photo however: I feel I improved the product by adding tiny felt "feet" under the rails where arms slide to raise or lower the desk. Because those don't have rubber feet like the four corners, those rails "floated" above the table --and this means they flexed a tiny bit. Not super noticeable but I did notice it enough to investigate and address. What I did is basically the equivalent of rolling newspaper to keep a cafe table from rocking. Not a huge deal. Still worth it considering this one was almost half the price of the more popular similar version here on Amazon.Also I'd say this is portable in the sense that you could keep it in your car --but it's a bit unwieldy to say carry with you every day at work or something.

I have been searching for a slim sit-stand desk just to hold my keyboard and mouse and didn't want something so large that there was no space left for my 24" dual monitors. This one was perfect.Pros:ultra slim, thinnest I could find. I didn't want any extra height or bulk at its lowest position as that would make the keyboard and mouse too high on my desk.relatively light weight so you can move it around if needed, but still rather hefty to be called portable.Easy to operate once you know how it work. You just lift it up and down. It operates on hydraulic pressure.Cons:Instructions could have been clearer. I didn't realize I had to unlatch the height stop to press down the desk and ended up bending the latch.Because you need to use an allen key that came with it to adjust the height stop whenever you want the desk at a different height, it is best for a person or people who use it at the same height. Not that it is too difficult to adjust, just that it may become a hassle if you are constantly having to adjust.Overall I love it because I am the only one using it and it can be quickly raised and lowered so I can move from a sitting to a standing position throughout the day.

The reason I purchased this particular desk is because of its low profile when in the "down" position...Less than 1 inch.Sturdy construction and easy to use.Utilizes an Allen-Wrench to adjust the height to any setting.Sturdy construction and stable.

The product is relatively light weight so can be moved around as needed. The size is good for laptop. If you have a big monitor with keyboard, this would be too small for that.

This is perfect for raising just a keyboard and mouse to standing height when placed on my office desk. My monitors can move up and down on my existing mounts so I just needed to raise my keyboard and mouse . It is very low profile when not in use . Very pleased with this product .
