Top 10 Ways to Avoid Taxes: A Guide to Wealth Accumulation

not for me
first off - no mention of how 401k's, HSA's, Backdoor and Mega roth backdoor IRA's help people avoid paying taxes.. No these wont make you filthy rich, but they can absolutely help the average American become wealthy and WAY easier than the tactics he suggests.Mark talks about owning a business and how many advantages there are to this. That's true, but not everyone can own a business as a tax shelter. In fact, over 20% of small businesses fail in the first year and over 30% fail within the first 2. He acts like anyone can start their own accounting firm with a couple of key strokes and start deducting everything. Also, he said something about how he retired at age 40 when he started his own business. You're not retired, you're just working for yourself. Most people who are self employed may have some extra flexibility, but its rare they ever work less or have less stress than someone working 9-5. You're certainly not financially independent, you need to keep working. There is quite a lot of one way discussion about how to use Variable Life insurance and Reverse mortgages to your advantage. I think there is some truth to this, but it is very complicated. You shouldn't just go to any "financial professional" and buy one of these products. Especially life insurance, this literally pays the person you buy it from a commission. There is no such thing as a free lunch, and I wish Mark would've explained the positives and negatives of this. Also, yes, you can use reverse mortgages to your advantage, but its extremely risky for the average person.

Move along. Nothing to see here.
The author states at one point in the book that he wrote their book in 30 days. It shows. I looked at the table of contents before buying this book and he seemed to cover topics that I was interested in so I bought it. However, the authors coverage of each topic is so shallow that it is almost unusable. The author also does not discuss or glosses over many dangerous risks to the strategies he suggests, one being high fees.

Finally! Helpful financial info!
Mark is one of the only people to spell out ways to get wealthy that no one else ever seems to talk about. I spent years trying to follow the advice of a "regular" financial advisor, always frustrated that she didn't want to look at our whole picture or plan anything creative. She just wanted us to diversify in the stock market. Period. We found a new advisor who looks at the whole picture and our lives have changed dramatically--and then he wrote this book. Thank you, Mark!

What an amazing read!
I have read many books on the subject of finance. Not only did this book give me a different perspective on money, but also gave me multiple ideas of how I could increase my wealth while reducing taxes. It's honestly hard to read finance books (generally speaking) but this one was simply written, in layman's terms so the concepts were easy to understand. It was also entertaining, so it made it enjoyable to read.

Are you a paycheck player? Or do you have the “Quann”?
Certain moves and sometimes movies hit the Mark on connecting heart and goal. Jerry Maguire, though made after the original Quann, seems to capture the winning spirit that Mark translates through this book. A life altering heart condition increased the size and passion of not only Mark’s heart, but talents. He shares smarter connected plays to multiplying our own talents. Vibrant success is all about connection and direction. The word Quan, described by Cuba Gooding Jr, means love, respect, Community, and the dollars too. The entire package! Some men have “the coin”, and others have “the Quan”, Mark multiplies both!Read the book, and if curious, watch the movie. Then be ready to move the information from mind to heart, to “start”. Thank you Mark for putting out an easy to digest playbook.

You are the only one who keeps you poor.
This book was a fun read and educational at the same time. It really shifted my view on the handling of money and what it takes to get rich while also avoiding taxes. People in general need to read this book and learn that if they are not wealthy they can be. No one but themselves is holding them down. Read and apply and you will not be complaining about not having enough money any more. Also strongly suggest Mark’s first book be read.

Provides hard to obtain strategies concisely & effectively
July 28, 2019The information Mark Quann offers in this book is exactly what I’ve been searching for. Do yourself a favor and read Top 10 Ways, it has so many solutions that will get you excited to invest again. I’ve been investing in futures, mutual funds, and crypto since 1998, and have never even heard a whisper of the techniques Mark offers, without seeking the information aggressively from hard to find resources.

Add this book to your financial toolbox! Excellent strategies and education!
I read financial and self-development books consistently and gleen what I can from each as not every situation, family and circumstances are the same. A book creates its value when the author intends to provide real-world, applicable strategies, tenets and actions to improve your situation, family and circumstances. This is one of those books. The author has a heart for financial education and emphasizes how little of it is taught in our educational systems today. Young men and women are saddled with student loan debt, credit-card debt and a scarcity mentality. If your goal is to build wealth (and I don't mean because you just want to be "rich"), this book is an excellent tool to add to your financial toolbox. It is practical, eye-opening and does a terrific job revealing strategies that are there for anyone to act upon should they desire to beat the system (banks) and put/keep more of their hard-earned money where it belongs - with you. I am grateful for this book and the authors intention to help others build wealth and avoid paying the government more than it is actually is due. The author begins the book with a vulnerable story about his life and health, which in our over-stimulated and stressed culture can very well relate to. I highly recommend this book and look forward to other books from the author so that we can become more financially educated.
