Worthwhile for a mobile monitor
We have this connected to a small Intel NUC device that's been hardened for use in a demanding automotive environment. It gives us a display over an HDMI connection without requiring (say) a tablet that would need Internet access.So far, we're generally happy with it - was fairly straightforward to install, doesn't consume a lot of power and displays images that are clear and crisp enough to be useful, even though the display itself is fairly compact. We seldom use the touch screen feature, but it's a reasonable alternative to a conventional keyboard if your data entry needs are modest.Two missing features we wish we could find:1. A more secure hold-down for the HDMI cable. We're concerned that in a moving vehicle, the cable will eventually work its way loose.2. A built-in way to blank the display when the vehicle is in motion. We programmed this into our app, but it would have been nice for the display to handle this natively.Otherwise, for the price, this does exactly what we expect.
