Furman RL-LED Rack Light with LED Lights in 1RU, 19 Rackmountable Plate

We have a rack case that holds DMX lighting controllers on the top. It is always dark during concerts, making it hard to see the labels on the lighting controllers. The controllers have LED indicators that pretty much blind you so your eyes never adjust. This rack light was just wide enough to fit at the top of the slanted rack. It functions like a desk lamp. My lighting guys loves it. He can see the controls and also illuminate around his work area. The light is dimmable which is essential for best lighting/best viewing. I'm really happy with this Furman rack light. I looked at a similar cheaper light but reviewers had some negative reports. I did not want to experiment with less than ideal equipment and went with the Furman. No regrets!

I used it on my network rack which is above my work area to build PCs. Great addition! provides more than enough light and the snaking arms make it a valuable asset so you don't end up with fixed shadows in any areas.

This was functionally just what I was expecting. Good quality and easy to add above my mixer. However, even at the brightest setting the lights are a little dim and throw some shadows on the board. Better than what I had and probably great in a dark mixing spot, but for me they are a little dim.

Nice and bright +++++ Much better than the American DJ halogen bulbs that were not as bright and would burn you if you brushed-up against them.

Nice build quality. Very expensive, for what it is. Especially so, considering how weak of a light it is. You literally have to bring it up to the switch you are working on, pointing down at specific port. Too weak to illuminate any area surrounding the bulb, even close to your work area. I wish I hadn't bough it. I replaced it with super bright LED tube, two of those mounted lengthwise in a rack, top to base, on sides. Now I can see the whole cabinet.

I expected a much better product from an industry leader like Furman. This rack light may work well in some limited applications but the lighting is very weak so keep that in mind when you purchase. Re-think this one Furman because i know you can do better.

Great product. 1U, the configuration has it recessed so it doesn't get in the way. Extremely bright LEDs with a dimmer. Ordering more for my other racks.

The recessed front allows the lights to be positioned so they are almost flush. This allows the rack to be lit without blocking visibility from above. Plenty heavy duty, no problems with the lights at all. Lights are more than bright enough for my purpose, in fact I generally leave them on the lowest setting since the room is dark.
