What I needed...and a challenging install**3 YEAR UPDATE**
I needed to make one lever-style doorknob disappear to avoid marring a refrigerator door. This worked great for that purpose. A few cons...you will need to either cut your existing spindle down and maybe notch the end, or fashion a new one (I used a 3/8" bolt...took me a few hours.) Also, this ends up looking fine, but the tolerances are a bit loose and it feels like it may not hold up over the years (it's been installed for one day, lol.) Hope this helps someone! **UPDATE** happy to report that after 3 years of constant daily use, this is still working flawlessly! No change in fit or finish.

Garbage......
Cheap garbage with the wrong hardware. Save yourself the aggravation, don't buy this one. Notice the screws color and they interfere with turning.

Good esthetics
Needed a slim profile handle for a linen closet in a hallway at a rental property; tenants complaining they kept bumping into the door handle. That product did the job HOWEVER required some fairly major tweaks to adapt to existing system. It required the use of a chop saw to salvage the metal barrel of the existing handle we were replacing, and a bench grinder to make the head of a regular hex bolt fit into the square hole of the new Recessed Pull Handle Knob. Then we had to weld that bolt to the barrel to make it a one-piece system that would not wobble, spin freely, and eventually plug right into the existing system, with zero modification to the existing system. So in summary... unless you've got the tools OR you think your existing system is already fully compatible (which is hard to tell), I wouldn't recommend. It turned out to be a relatively easy task for me, but again I'm familiar with metal working.

You have to be able to think out of the box.
This was the most exasperating thing I ever worked with. I had to also order a regular knob because the one in the door did not have a square middle mechanism. After I ordered the doorknob to replace the existing one to match the flat one, I sill had to drill one of the holes in the flat one slightly bigger because the screws did not exactly line up. I've bought two of these previously for other doors. They were also a pain. If I order any more, it will be one that has the flat knob on both sides so they match from the factory.

Used as a door opening handle on a hallway linen closet. It is low profile, so was suitable. However, correct installation is difficult. The handle requires a larger shaft than most North American door manufacturers use. That is the main problem. In addition, the hole spacing for the mount screws is not the same as regular door openers. Thus, modifications are required. You better be a "handy person" if you want this handle installed correctly.
