The Creative Colouring Book for Grown-Ups

I love coloring, I find it relaxing. Sometimes when I can't sleep I'll get out of bed and color a bit. I only wish there were more floral/botanical pages and less bold graphic patterns. I like to color an image, something that looks like something but intricate with a lot of sections. Coloring a repetitive pattern is boring and the thick black outlines on some of the page are distracting to me. Still a very fun book to color.

I was going through some stressful times, and thought coloring might give me a good distraction. It did the trick. This book has quite a few different patterns that are more advanced than your normal coloring book. It's also larger than a normal child's coloring book. It's a great way to get your mind off things that are bothering you, and you create something at the same time. This would also be good for older kids who like to color and want a little bit of a challenge.

A fantastic book. Images are intricate with dark heavy outlines. I use crayola felt tipped markers. for the most part it does not bleed through to the image on the reverse side. this only happens if you go over and over the same area with your markers.The only thing I wish would be that the book opens flat or has a ring binder spine. However a minor issue and I am happy with this colouring book.

I ordered this one without seeing many of the illustrations and I don't feel it is/as described. I am disappointed with this particular book. Some of the Illustrations are repeated over throughout the book - paper is extremely smooth which would be good for pen and markers, but I use Prismacolor Pencils and laying down layers of color does not work well on smooth toothed paper like this. Some of the illustrations are quite simple and some are quite detailed, however; the ones that are simpler seem a bit juvenile to me. After reviewing this a bit closer I have concluded this one is just not for me and will be sending it back.

Love this book. I took it with me on my last trip to China. It helped with my long car trips.

Love this book. It has definitely has got me inspired to play with colour and design. Great for people who like to doodle, or want to play with colour, or are looking for inspiration.

I love coloring in this book when the insomnia bug strikes. It doesn't take long and I finally relax and go to sleep

What a wonderful colouring book, ideal for young or old, there are so many patterns in very different styles, you simply don't know where to start, I bought one for myself, and another for my mum. I have since almost finished the book, and have bought another so i can colour it all again, using completely different colours. Each design is different, some simple, but most quite detailed. Some patterns are repeated on a double page spread, The designs are printed on both sides of the paper, but i haven't had a problem with bleed through, only on a couple of designs, but it all depends on how juicy your pens are. I've used coloured pencil, fibre tipped pens, gel pens, and even watercolour pencils ( the pages buckle with water, so be aware) and have loved every minute. The paper is very good quality, and smooth white. Highly recommended. Ive added a few photos for reference.

I've recently discovered colouring in for adults. This is one of two fab books I bought to start off (the other is Paisley Patterns by Marty Noble).The book is thick with a sturdy cover. The patterns are varied, from bold geometric and paisley designs to delicate flower shapes and tribal motifs. The paper is really good quality so stands up well to felt tips.Some patterns are fine lined; others are bold - a nice mixture, and if you don't like thick black lines just buy some metallic markers to go over them.Colouring in is creative and a great way to stress bust. I use pencils, felt tips, glitter pens and metallic markers. I have also traced various patterns in this book for use on homemade cards.A fabulous book which I highly recommend.

Surprisingly effective and therapeutic...I got it as a bit of a joke, but I genuinely love...er, colouring in. Great to relax if you've had a stressful day - it really does seem to get you into a different frame of mind. I recommend good coloured pencils or watercolours rather than felt-tip pens though....they are too strong and show through the paper, thus ruining the pattern on the other side. See? See how much I care about my colouring in?

This is a fantastic colouring book and I would recommend it to anyone who has an artistic streak and enjoys colouring a challenging picture when it is cold and damp outside. I don't recommend it for beautiful sunny days because once you pick it up and start colouring, it can be quite addictive and before you know it, you have missed quite a bit of the beautiful weather! Great purchase, wish this company would produce another one.

I own this book and have since purchased it for 2 other people who loved it as much as I do :)A real variety of designs to colour in, ideal for joining in while the kids are doing some art, or just to idle away a few minutes (or hours!) in a nice, relaxing, suprisingly satisfying way.Be sure to treat yourself to some great new pens to go with it!
